"For your, let's say... service... to the Empire, by the means of killing one of rebel leaders, I will honor that deal once more. I shall remind you though, any looting will be punished. I would suggest someone able to disarm traps. I will open the door, but that is all I shall help you with." With that, she moved back toward the tomb's entrance, passing Julius wordlessly on the way there.

Eventually the paralysis passed, as did Candy's glamour. A good thing too, as it seemed to have been effecting his head in strange ways. Once more he dismounted, rubbing out his sores. He turned to his companions.

: "Three people... Well. While it would be an honor to look upon the honored dead of the empire's distant past, I shall advocate others to the task. I'll content myself to this humble pilgrimage to the resting place of the old emperors. I believe the scholar, Fezz would be well suited for this task. And since a more crafty hand is also necessary, it necessitates Julius as well. But who should be the third?"

Alec sighed and made his way over to the rest of the group.
: "Agreed on account of Fezz and Julius. For the third... well, if no-one else wants to step up, I nominate either myself or Leo to keep an eye on things."

Grifen staggered up, still dazed from her last hit.

: "Well, I wouldn't mind goin'. Probably not the best choice though."

Ciera landed Mazin near the others, in time to hear Alec's question. She frowned slightly.

"I... I was the one who convinced her... But Alec's probably right that he or Leo should go. They probably know more about what's in there and stuff than I do anyways."

A flash of light came from around the corner. Someone's resumed work on the door, so maybe it would be good to choose the team at last? After all, it would be a bad idea to keep an important Imperial lady waiting!

Julius ran up to the others and surveyed the bodies.

"So it's over? Is everyone alright?"

: "As it stands." Alec looked over at Leo, "Though... Mop-top, you look like you took a beating. Wait, did you try to hold them off yourself?"

"He almost *died*. If it wasn't for Efa clearing the way and Ram healing me, I wouldn't have been able to reach him in time and... and... He almost died because of Matilda!"

: "Sheesh..." Alec glanced back at the chasm, "Did she even try to figure out why we were here before trying to off us?"

[Furtuka]

"I...I have to concur with Alec's question. What in the world lead her to act so hastily?"

"I don't... I don't know. But from what Leo said... I don't think so."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Hmm? No, she decided to fight her way past me pretty much immediately. Honestly I'm a little embarrassed. I hadn't counted on her bringing siege magic; I think if she hadn't, I could have held them off. And I can go if you'd like me to. I would like to keep an eye on my brother, and Grifen can handle the healing here in my stead."

"Damn. Is there any chance she was being controlled or under the influence of something?"
