Alec scratched his chin at Grifen's thoughts.
: "Let's consider then. Three groups, Us, the Church, and Matilda. We got our info from our client, no idea how they managed to get ahold of the info. The Church probably has enough links in the Empire to come up with a location. Matilda... Commander Fyra? You said your family's home was raided when you questioned me about how we found this place, right?" Alec sighed, "That sounds right up Matilda's alley in terms of tact... In order for us to come all to the same place at about the same time, it's likely we would have had to run into the info from the same base source... Unless we were all here for different reasons..."
Alec continued to mumble to himself as his eyes unfocused.

Fyra moved up to Matilda's corpse.

And then, unceremonially, kicked it - with a flash of magic at her boot - into the chasm.

"You have had Eul's body rotting on a spear for weeks. No burial for you, wretched rebel bitch." Fyra spoke with seething in her voice, speaking through clenched teeth. In a short moment, though, he regained her composure and moved up to Alec when others were healing their comrades.

"What was the... original deal, regarding entry into the tomb, that we agreed upon? Three people?"

: "What the-?!"
Alec rushed and attempted to catch Matilda's cadaver before it could fall, but he was too late. His hand grasped at thin air as she fell down into the chasm.
: "Damn it, would have at least wanted to do a cursory search first..."
Alec stood up straight and scratched his head before addressing Fyra.
: "That was what you said earlier, yes." The bard scratched his head again, "And... again, I am sorry about Commander Eul."
