Cyra spun around and peered through the trees, cupping her hands to call out to the rest.

"Imperials on the road ahead! Spiders closing in; much difficulty for the men on the road! The beasts are very quick and agile. I'm moving ahead to observe! If you hear nothing of me in the next few minutes, assume I'm helping them out!"

In all her years, Cyra still kept to her principles (if it didn't mean anything otherwise harmful as a collateral). A guard patrol under the Imperial hand was as much a security force as a guardsman of the Imperial gate--they needn't die because of a cause which was as convoluted as Kingdom-Politics. Especially if it was because of the payroll.

Cyra made sure to hide herself in the shadows of the trees. In this moment, she would just observe what they were doing and what their plan was. If it was for any malevolent scheme, she thought, then she would just watch and pick off the straggling spiders with her longbow.

Though she doubted this had anything ulterior behind it, it was always best to be sure.

Noting the distance and space ahead, she hoped she wasn't seen by the spiders, too. It would make a lot of trouble in maneuvering if one just plopped itself right in front of her in the clearing.

Remembering the rumors about the forest, she wondered once more if talking a bit to Ciera and the forested hilltop would even be a good idea. Random thoughts...
