"She... she deserves to hate me... I just... I don't want to be a burden anymore."

The tears were slowing now and her grip was loosening. She let go with one arm to rub away the tears, starting to be hopeful that things could be ok again.

"You're no burden. You're a wonderful asset on the battlefield, and a dear friend." Sheila hugged a little tighter now. "I have never regretted you joining us, not for an instant. So don't think of yourself as some heavy load the rest of us have to drag behind us, okay? It's not fair to yourself."

[Swordstar]

"_{s..s...sword and shield..} I'm... You're my friend too. It's just easy to see... See how I've screwed up... But... But you guys are my family. I just want to help... help protect all of you."

[Blade Master Model 42]

"Good. Because we're all going to protect you too. That's how we do things." Sheila let the hug slacken a bit, and turned her head toward Alec and Grifen. "Ready?"

[Swordstar]

"I... yeah. Lets go talk to them."

She let herself be lead over to them, smiling shyly as she got closer.

"Hey guys..."

Glancing up, Alec clapped the tome shut.
: "Hey, Fly Girl. How're you feeling? Hope the lack of sleeping hours hasn't gotten to you."

[Sirus]

Grifen was more than a little surprised that Sheila had managed to get the pegasus knight to come over. Willingly, at least.

: "Uh. Hey, Ciera. Listen, I...I'm sorry about the other night."

[Swordstar]

"I'm... ok. Better for having talked to Sheila. Turns out she's pretty smart."

She turned to Grif and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"No, don't. It's ok. You were just... doing what you thought best. I don't blame you for how you reacted. I don't blame anyone. I was just... I did what I thought needed to be done and you did the same. That's... that's what matters."

She sounded like she was trying to convince herself of that fact as much as she was trying to convince Grif. She was trying hard to believe Sheila, even if it hadn't truly sunk in yet.

[Sirus]

The Nomad shook her own head.

: "But I almost shot ya. Yer one of my friends, I shouldn't have even thought about doin' somethin' like that. At least you were right about Efa's sister. Maybe it weren't the best way for it to have gone, but lookin' back I dunno what else we coulda done to stop her."

[Blade Master Model 42]

Sheila considered stepping in, if only for a second. But they needed to talk this out.

Sheila quickly purchases an Iron Bow and an Iron Axe, distributing them to Cyra and Renault respectively.

[Swordstar]

Ciera pulled the nomad into a hug and shook her head.

"It's ok, I don't blame you. I understand, I promise. I would have understood if you had shot me even. I was going against everyone else and you all thought that there was a chance to save her. I didn't know that it wasn't her. If it had been, and you had shot me and we had saved her, everything would have been ok, right? So don't worry. You didn't do anything wrong."

[CrimsonEon]

Standing back a moment and briefly looking at the ground, Alec grinned. He muttered something, apparently trying not to interrupt the moment.
: _{"Not everything's clear cut. Sometimes we just have to work with what we have."}

[Sirus]

: "Well...if ya can forgive me fer almost shootin' ya, I reckon I can forgive ya fer doin what you thought was the right thing. Heck, I reckon all of us can." Grifen returned the hug, and thought about Efa. "...though some of us might need more time than others."

[Swordstar]

"Yeah... But... It will be ok. As long as I have you guys... I'll be ok."

[Sirus]

: "Course it'll be okay. Yer a huge help to the rest of us, and we're lucky to have ya. Of course, yer a lot nicer to be around when ya ain't all mopey." She said the last sentence with a slightly teasing note in her voice, hoping to make the other girl at least crack a smile, and increased the strength of her hug a bit.
