Having a spear strike your horse was as lethal a blow to the rider as it was to the horse--for Cyra, she had just gotten it back after reclaiming it from the stables where it was supposedly placed until after her trial and proceeding sentence. Which considering the situation in hindsight, meant that it would've gone to some other rider as the prison warden didn't look all too...concerned about the state of his prisoners.

...Cyra regretted sleeping in and constantly oversleeping during the lapse of time between imprisonment and freedom--she regretted it further when she discovered a note given a day or so earlier. Now, she regretted it the most when the spear cut the side of her dear horse; despite glancing off and striking her instead, she hoped the healer would toss her a vulnerary or a heal staff...as her own potion bag was caught under the wounded animal.
