: "He also taught me how to use magic staffs. He's a nice guy."

"Is he a zealot?"

"I wouldn't say that. He's quite nice.  Though he was recently declared a Saint. Saint of... What is he a saint of Sheila?"

"Uh... Mercy, I think."

[Haspen]

"I have unpleasant experiences with the cult, so I hope that Leo is more human than the organization he follows. You seem a bit uneasy about me, miss Efa. If I'm troubling you, I shall depart immediatelly."

:"Uhhhhhh, no. It's... fine."

[Haspen]

"Thank you."

[Swordstar]

"Right then... Guess we should head back."

Ciera and co head back to their own inn, looking for Leo and Alec

: "Yeah, let's go back. I'm still hungry and the inn oughta have some good food!"

Back to da inn!

: "Not at all lad! I threw a lot of information at you all at once and your poor mind spiraled into a helter swelter! Why, I imagine you didn't know what was up and down! But did you notice dear lad, that she very quick to perceive that you were all out of sorts?"

The scholar was quiet for a moment as he thought on the elder's remarks. "I did. I didn't mean to worry her, Dragon knows I worry her enough as it is. ...But I worry for her too." The historian thought back to when he saw Grifen get unhorsed by the monk, or more recently with the news of her grievous wound.

Fezz scratched the back of his neck. "...But... This all feels..." He shook his head. "With the war going on, should I even be contemplating this? Any of this? We're no longer in immediate danger but that won't last. With all this going on I just... Just a while prior we killed scores of soldiers, and in a while more I have a feeling we'll be killing a score more. What am I even thinking?" The scholar was considering that maybe he should of talked about this sooner.

Miguel contemplated this, placing his hand on his chin.

: "Hmm... I see. That is a doozy of a question..." After a brief interlude of silence, he developed an answer. "You're right in a way I suppose... It would be dangerous getting too attached to a person only for them to... Or if you were to..."

: "Damn..."

His eyes closed tightly. They were considerably sadder when they reopened.

: "I... I see your dilemma now. It's not a mere matter of shyness at all, though your form could be improved. You both care deeply for one another, but fate itself is against you with this damnable war."

"Right then... Guess we should head back."

The girls found Leo sitting in the common room and eating a bowl of stew. He didn't seem to notice them, his eyes pretty much entirely focused on the steaming surface of his meal as he spooned out a bit of meat and potato.
