The owner of the pawn shop looked the pretty brooch over.

"I shall buy it for three hundred."

Candy made well-wishes to Fezz and Alec and went on his way.

He goes to the magic shop and sees what they might pay for Surprising Shimmy.

@Candy:

Ysto the Enchanter looked the magical scribblings over. "One hundred coins, I'm ready to pay."

Leo nodded to Julius after Miguel left.

"I think I'll go and have that talk with Renault. Later, perhaps?"

He raised a hand in parting, then headed back to the group's lodging. Once there, he knocked on Renault's door with the back of his hand a few times.

"Captain Istair? Are you awake?"

Man, only 100 coins. Candy sighed and went on his way.

: "I shall consider the offer. Thank you for your time."

Miguel clicked his heels together and then walked out. That was not quite the price he was looking for, but it was at least something. Got to know when to hold em. Got to know when to walk away. Got to know when to run. Miguel returned to the spot where the other lads were and twisted the tiny little brooch thing in his hand. Perhaps he would hold onto it for a time. Three hundred wasn't all that much and he had received the bauble for free. At the very least, it had sentimental value.

@Leo:

The man in question opened the door and looked at Leo. A scent of alcohol - possibly rum - wafted from the room briefly.

"Hrrmm, it's you."

Leo did his best to keep a poker face. It seemed the captain was drunk, or at least already drinking. That could either be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on how the man acted when under the influence. For now, he stepped aside and indicated he wanted Istair to leave the room by holding his hand out.

"I was hoping we could talk over breakfast. Maybe figure some things out."

Although from the smell of things I imagine he already had breakfast, and it had a cork in it.

"That's the spirit! Don't worry about a thing, Grifen! I'll handle the whole thing! Heck, depending on how soon I can weasel Fezz into a bar, I might have your answer as soon as tonight. Ha ha ha!" Sheila grinned widely. "Best part is, I betcha it'll be even easier to get two of them to talk than just one! So I'll find out what Alec is thinking too! This is gonna be great!"

[Haspen]

"I already ate, drank and everything else. What's wrong with talking in my room? Feeling unsafe at enemy territory?" He grumped and then moved to the table, pushing away dirty plate, two empty mugs and a bowl. Renault then placed two chairs near the table with a loud 'thud', indicating that he wasn't going to budge and move anywhere for the talks.

[SeriousConcentrate]

Leo sighed.

"That's not what I meant. _{already off to a bad start...}"

Rubbing his forehead, he went to the empty chair and sat down.

"Alright, look. I don't like you. You don't like me. This much is clear. But I was hoping to try to work on that, for Sheila's sake."

[Sirus]

: "Yeah. Great. So, uh, what're we gonna do now?"

[Haspen]

"Well at least we agree at two things, then." Renault sat down at one of the chairs with a heavy sigh.

"So what kind of family plans you have for Sheila, hmm? Seems like you keep at least part your plans hidden from my daughter. It's about half of the reasons I dislike you, really."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"I don't know yet. I want to marry her and make her happy. Beyond that, I haven't really thought it out much. I guess it depends on what she wants to do; whether she wants to continue sailing or settle down, or maybe just keep traveling. It's all the same to me, as long as we're together."

"Why? What sort of family plans did you have in mind for her?"

[Haspen]

"To help her find a honest man who lives a more stable and comfortable life than a man who kills and plunders for a living with no place to really call home? Far from affiliating with people of... your ilk. Or the Empire."

"At least I don't have to worry about becoming grandfather in my thirties. I'm forty, so Dragon bless you with babies." The man snerked and then reached for a bottle, shaking out few last drops into his mouth.
