"I'm sure he is! He probably just doesn't know how to go about all this, you know? I mean, being raised as a priest wouldn't exactly give him that information. I'm sure he'll figure it out though. And then you'll get married and it will be adorable. Not that you two aren't adorable already."

Grifen sighed happily.

: "Somehow I had a sorta feelin' about the two of ya from the start. Wasn't sure it would ever happen, him bein' a preacher and all, but I'm happy it did."

After the girls left they were sort of left standing in the middle of the dusty street for a couple minutes doing nothing.

"...soooo I see that things are doing better between you and Sheila"

"Thanks. It's really great." Sheila looked at Grifen. "So, anyone you have your eye on?"

The historian nodded in understanding. "It makes perfect sense. One thing I've learned about that war is that it was a part of a far longer period of time, one that wasn't always wrapped in horrors and devastation. There was good just as there was bad just as there is today. Its sort of become one of my motivations, honestly."

"I've heard of great wonders being performed, artifacts made to help and heal, mend instead of harm. But they were misused after a time, and soon the tools were turned to war. Such is as great power does, I suppose. But trust me, it makes perfect sense to think that the possible answers to some of the questions posed by the past may help today."

"Oooo, that was my next question. I bet it's Fezz. They spend so much time together after all~

Leo was still watching the spot where Sheila had been walking away, lost in thought, when Julius finally roused him from his reverie.

"Hmm? Oh, yes. I thought maybe, if we both might die in this rebellion, then..."

He sighed.

"Then maybe I should take something I want for myself for once, no matter how selfish it is."

"Then again, I don't know how I'm ever going to get along with her father."

[Furtuka]

"I'm guessing does not approve?"

[SeriousConcentrate]

Leo laughed bitterly.

"Right, you weren't there. No, he does not approve of me, and I do not approve of him, and things were said that I'm not going to repeat."

[Sirus]

The question threw Grifen for a loop...

: "Who, me? Oh, um, I dunno..."

...but that was nothing compared to Ciera's statement of the obvious.

: "W-what're ya sayin'?! It ain't like that at all...I think." Grifen kept her eyes locked firmly on her crossbow, adjusting the sights for the tenth time in a row. "maybe?"

Ciera grinned.

"Aha! I was totally right. Ohey! If that works out, you and Sheila could be related!"

[Furtuka]

"Ah is this related to why Fezz was trying to become one with the wall the day we met the old pirate?"

"Whoa, you and Fezz? Grifen, you never said anything! How serious is it? Do you know how he feels about you?"

"Um... yes, that is probably related. I know Alec, Ciera, and Grifen were fleeing the area, at least."

Candy fluttered into the shop, flapping his arms like wings and his wings like arms.

: "MY EARS, MY EARS ARE BURNING OH THat's better."

: "Guuuuys, you're not supposed to talk about someone when they're not around!"
