"Ooh, that reminds me!" Sheila pulled away from Leo to get something out of one of her pockets. Once the item was free, she underhanded it to Miguel. "Figure you might find that useful, big guy." Sheila wrapped an arm around Leo's waist and pulled him in close. "Anyway, I did see a charm. It was definitely magic, and I'd like to have it, if we have the extra cash for it."

"All right. We'll talk about the book once we have it, and the ring too."

The saint considered the charm Sheila pointed out.

"A magic charm, hm?I'd like to see it for myself, and see if I can figure out what it does. Although I think I can extrapolate from it being called a blood charm that it causes wounds the wearer inflicts to be more grievous. That sounds like something that could be useful to us."

"Ciera where are you finding all these wonderful things!"

"They were just in this trinket shop... Pawn shop type thing."

The scholar perked up immediately. "You do? That's great! I guess by now he probably got into the trunk, so it may be scattered about but if I can even just recover a portion of it, it would be a great boon."

At the mention of the merchant getting into the trunk, the man carefully removed a fine chain necklace from his neck to reveal three rather dingy looking keys, old and plain. "I... Value security for my work. When its your word against that of a dragon scholar, most won't care if your work actually is stolen or not, just that the scholar was the one to publish it."

"Thank you so much for helping me with this, its a weight off my shoulders. Are there any leads nearby? Anything I can help with? "

"Hmmm... Does anyone else need anything? How are Fezz's tomes? I never really get a chance to talk to him."

: "I accept. Thank you."

Miguel affixed the Talisman to his person. He certainly felt more resistant to magic somehow.

: "Oh! I found this little bauble while storming the Red Castle. A Turquoise thingamabob! It protects against Poison! We haven't been up against all that much poison however. We might be able to get some nice coin off of it if we were to sell it I imagine."

Alec seemed a little surprised at Fezz's sudden enthusiasm, and looked over the letter again.
"Hmm, there's only one that's even anywhere near Masalla right now. The others are all working in Mireos, Riemond and Kretos area. I'll likely get a word if the former comes near Moss. Which is likely, given how this place is a hub for trade."
: "Just relax for a bit. If you remember any details about the merchant, let me know. It's all a matter of time, not much either of us can do to expedite the process, but I felt like you should know. Always nice to have a little good news to offset all the silence from the rest of the rebellion."
: "If curiosity permits, what were you researching so much?"

[Sirus]

Grifen, who tried to at least chat with Fezz every day, piped up.

: "He said they're in pretty bad shape. I can't tell how bad exactly, but from the sound of it they won't last long now."

"We should set some money aside for him to get a new tome then. It'd be pretty bad if Fezz couldn't fight, he's crazy strong."

[Furtuka]

"They were just in this trinket shop... Pawn shop type thing."

Julius pulled out his notebook and start writing down notes.

"Where is it? Did they have other things like that?"

[Sirus]

: "Yeah, he is. And good idea; he'll know more about what to get than we would."

[Swordstar]

"Buncha almost broken weapons and the ring for Fezz that was mentioned earlier. It was over that way."

She gestured in the general direction of the pawn shop.

"So do we have enough for all of that?"

: "I think we do. Should even have some left over, which will come in handy once I start mixin' up some more potent medicine."
