: "Good idea. I've got some spare parchment in my bag...here!" The nomad pulled out some scraps of raggedy parchment and the nub of a charcoal stick. "Where should I tell them to meet us?"

Leo nodded.

"You have family in Garaz? In the military?"

"Honestly I hadn't really thought that far. I was thinking we could get a few drinks, check around for a playhouse, maybe do some shopping. You know, see where the day takes us!"

"Isn't it a bit early in the morning to be drinking? Maybe we should go shopping first, then do that other stuff. That way, they could join us after shopping!"

"Hey c'mon, we're all adults here! We decide when we're ready to drink, not arbitrary times of day! But, I suppose if you wanna wait, we can do shopping and things first..."

: "Yes to the first, no to the former. I have a daughter and a grandson who live in the mainland around the capital. My grandson is far too young for military duty and my daughter never picked up a weapon that she wasn't selling. I was never invited to the wedding, so I never did hear about who she ended up marrying."

Miguel looked over the staves with interest.

: "They've quite a nice collection of high-quality merchandise. The owner of this store ought to be proud."

"Well... I've just... _{never really had much to drink...} But I think shopping first is the best plan! Grif could use a new crossbow I'm sure. And you never know what axes they might have for you!"

The young man waved his hand and giggled.

"Thank you, sir. This shop is one of many things I'm proud of!" He fluttered his eyelashes. "What you two would be buying?"

"Well... Okay. Let's go shopping. But we won't waste our time looking at junky stuff. I think I remember spotting a place with neat odds and ends someplace..."

Sheila drags her compatriots in search of a specialty store!

Ciera was dragged behind Sheila, hoping that Grif had had time to leave Cyra and Efa a note.

Fezz eyed the books carefully, reading the name of the spines of each, although he made sure not to touch the books. Such would be a sign of disrespect after all, since it would be a show of lack of faith in the seller as you would be checking the presence of a spell, or one of ill intentions. The book labeled Shine caught his attention though.

"Hmm. This is quite the impressive collection. I don't doubt I'll be back, but for now I'm just seeing the sights. Would you know where I could find maybe more mundane books? Travel gets... Rather boring at times." The historian quizzed the shopkeeper.

"Indeed. But let's not be hasty with our purchases. Our coinage is not unlimited."

To the owner, he said...

"We're still planning our purchases, thank you. But I will be back for a heal staff later."

He directed them to the apothecary next. While he walked, he thought about what Miguel had said.

"So you're a merchant then? Or is just your daughter?"

Leo found an apothecary led by a Syran man who taxed Leo's robes. Considering the allegiance of the the Barony, he might have some worries about Leo; he says nothing of them though, and just presents his wares.

Like always, medicinal items are in demand during times of war; this man, like many of his specialization, had to raise their prices in entirety of Empire.

Grifen had hastily scrawled a couple of notes saying that she, Sheila, and Ciera were out on the town and that the other two girls should join them, and followed along. She was practically bouncing in anticipation.

: "This should be great! We haven't gotten to do anythin' just fer fun in weeks!" She felt a pang of sadness when looking at the self bow, remembering home, but focused on having fun instead.
