Fezz was silent at what Grifen said, striking a cord in the man. He didn't really know what to say, it was true. Seeing the group move forward, the historian followed but he mulled on her words.

Move to (5,9), ZOT door with Starshot!

Shouldn't be long before the doors fall. Taking advantage of what little time is left before battle is joined once more, the scholar turned to the nomad.

"You're right. I'm... Not very good at that sort of thing. I'm not that good with people in general though. To be honest I never really thought I'd meet him. When I actually did, I didn't really know what to do." Fezz scratched the back of his neck. "I'll work on it, locking myself away in a library isn't really the life I want. Even if its a little tempting considering present circumstances."

Grifen gave an understanding nod when Fezz lamented over not being very good at being around people or telling them things.

: "Just gotta keep practicin', y'know? Like them magic lights ya make, or the meditation yer doin' with preacher, or preacher's dancin' lessons. Hidin' behind a pile of books won't help. Besides, if ya lock yerself away in a library just imagine all them ruins out there that ya won't get to explore! Plus I-- we'd miss ya out here in the rest of the world."

It was at this point that Candy walked (floated?) over. Grifen momentarily contemplated stuffing the pink-haired boy into a bottle, as her grandma had advised when dealing with fairies, but had to admit to herself that she doubted he would fit.

The historian nodded. "Being cooped up all day would be horribly boring, I prefer travel and moving. I wouldn't dream to call myself a historian either if I didn't even get out in the field and actually looked into it first hand. Not seeing you or anyone else would be pretty lonely too. Glad to hear I'd be missed though."

Turning to the fae, Fezz more or less nodded in resigned confirmation. "It... Wasn't really well hidden, I admit. Sheila and Grifen came close to guessing almost every time I was near Leo. I couldn't say if anyone else might be related though. If they are, they're far better at hiding it." Seems he took the question seriously.

Seeing the door burst open, the scholar braced himself when he saw the Imperial Pirates outside. He moved to (4,7) and gave Grifen his last vuln. He wasn't very cheery now. With a sigh, he turned back to the pirates and ZOTs Pirate D with Photon!
