: "Oh... Well... I don't know. I suppose a good portion of this is this band's money. Hrm. Perhaps we can get the priest a good staff with it. Priests like staves, right?"

Julius went over to Grifen and Alex. He was still feeling hostile at the bard for almost leaving the group.

"And why is that?"

Continuing to look out to the distance, Alec explained.
: "The Empire's got all of our faces marked now, most likely. And they've no doubt got someone in on the Rebellion's movements and operations. I don't know if what the Captain said about Duke Mireos is true, and whether there's still anyone left to be trusted. There's only one real way to find out, and that's going ourselves."
Alec turned to Julius and Grifen.
: "Sorry, but you lot are likely going to have to stick with us longer. 'lest you prefer being hunted in every corner of the Empire."

Ciera perked up slightly as she overheard the discussion going on near her. She knew that being a part of the Duke's guard, she'd be a part of this rebellion too, but... this seemed like a way to get away from guard duty and get to see the world. Heading over towards where the others were standing, she grinned up at the tall guy who seemed to know a lot about the whole situation.

"Ooo, hey, I could come with you guys! I mean, the Duke's heavily in this rebellion anyways, so I'm going to be a part of it too, right? So I may as well get to do the interesting stuff instead of just guarding a stuffy old castle, right?"

[Sirus]

: "But--agh! I thought we were gonna get home soon, and now we're goin' back the way we came?"

[Furtuka]

"Hmph. I was already planning to stick with Matilda anyways."

Alec looked at Ciera and blinked. With a moment of contemplation, he scratched his chin.
: "Well, Yonn's no doubt in it as much as we are, though it's likely better for him to call the shots from Castle Kretos. It still would be a help for someone from his force to assist, so it's a possibility."
Alec looked aside at Grifen, only barely acknowledging Julius' retort.
: "I'm sorry, but everything just got a lot worse with that last battle. If you're planning on staying alive long enough to go home again, it's the best option."

Frowning slightly, Ciera looked back and forth at the group and sighed.

"I... I guess I shouldn't be jumping in like this. You guys know a lot more about all of this than I do. All I want is to do something with my life other than boring guard duty and here you guys just want to get out and go home. I... Sorry?"

"So now we're enemies of the state? Whoopie." Sheila said, approaching the others. Despite her sour words, she looked... Oddly happy. Guessing why wouldn't be hard. "Well, I can't say I could be stuck in this with a better group of people." Sheila shot a glance at Matilda. "...For the most part, anyway."

[Furtuka]

Julius couldn't help but smile. Finally someone with a good attitude.

"I can sympathize with that. What says Yonn about it?"

[Sirus]

: "Mrgrgr..." Grifen grumbled for a few seconds, before sighing and cheering up at least a little. Sheila's approach probably had something to do with it.

: "Well, guess it wouldn't be so bad to stick around fer a while longer. Y'all are good people, even if we do just seem to get in more'n'more trouble as time goes on."

Alec looked over to Ciera for a moment, before speaking with a lighter tone.
: "No, don't be. I can get why you'd want to find more about the world. It's something that everyone's got to do at one point or another. Really, I'm the last person who could criticize. It would be downright hypocritical."
Alec shrugged and pulled his mouth into his trademark smirk for the first time in hours.
: "We're all in this together anyway. Right?"

"Yeah, I guess. I just... Dunno. I was all excited about being picked to go on this mission, but then I kinda flubbed that, so I guess we'll see if His Grace even lets me go. But... I'd like to be in it together with you guys. You all seem so brave to do this and just... Yeah. I mean, I guess I kinda got dragged into all of this because of what the Duke decided but it still seems like a good thing. At least I hope it is."

[Furtuka]

"Hey fire-head, I hate to break it to ya but most of us- well some at least- aren't here because we wanna be. It's more of a damned if we do, slightly more damned if we don't situation." Sheila turned to Julius. "Hey, he stuck around, don't start that shit."
