: "Yes, yes, I'll flipping do it. Settle this fast before I change my mind."  Alec's voice wavered as he pulled his flute from his case and held it at the ready.
: "Do me a favor and keep an eye on Matilda. She's way too headstrong to be left alone." He turned to the rest of the party, "And I swear if I die here I'm going to find you all, afterlife or no, and haunt the ever-living fuck out of you."

"We should be getting ready to fall back, not charge ahead. We need a better position than out here in the middle of the road where they can surround us."

Fezz took in a deep breath and slowly let it out in a sigh. He wanted to leave. He wanted to run, actually, while screaming and with possible frantic hand gestures. The scholar didn't care for the rebellion, disliked Matilda mostly because of her father, and most certainly didn't want to have to fight again so soon.

But to the hells with all of them if they think they're going to put his brother into the dirt.

Fishing out his tome, the scholar stood ready for the charge and held.
