Miguel watched the exchange between the young nomad and the scholar with deep interest. His hand twirled his mustache and flattened against his face. The young girl was a sweet thing and he was rapidly gaining respect for the powerful abilities of the young man. True; it was readily evident that the two cared for each other quite a bit. But alas! The bookish boy just seemed to be lacking that certain... Elan and passion necessary when dealing with the fairer sex. But this was no matter! It was clear that the poor fellow had not yet had a casanova to draw experience from in his life; a man who knew his way around women. A sad thing to be certain. But, woe be to him no longer! By the heavens above and soils of Garaz, Miguel would prove to be just that!

Miguel resolved himself then and there; he would help the young man woo the lady. Twirling his lance around to the nonviolent end, he poked the young scholar on the shoulder.

: "You there... Lad. You and I wish to speak with you after this battle has ended."

Grifen couldn't see Miguel poking her friend from the far side of the pillars. She spoke indignantly in response to what Fezz had said.

: "That ain't true! Ya do just fine, Fezz! Yer really good with magic, and yer brave too! Only reason those guys got ya is because they got lucky!" She huffed, then sighed and glanced at her crossbow.

: "Heck, yer probably stronger than I am. Only reason I can do anything at all is cuz of this here contraption."

Julius gazed down at the Scimitar and picked it up, giving a few swings to test it out. Seemingly satisfied he slid it into his belt, and then pulled out a small book which he quickly jot down some notes into before running to join the others.

Alec's ears perked as he heard a door collapsing further off.
: "..." The bard sighed, "They're going into the throne room, aren't they."
Alec to 4,11. BARD ERRYONE (Grifen, Leo, Fezz, Miguel).

Grifen decides to break the awkward silence by moving to (4,8) and shooting the Treasurer.

Feeling a prod in his shoulder, the scholar looked around to see the old knight getting his attention. Fezz didn't quite understand what the man was getting at, but he supposes it must be important. The scholar nodded, curious as to what the knight would want from him. Perhaps a comment as to the situation or... His magic? The historian couldn't really say, but he saw no reason to deny him.

His mood swung like a pendulum with Grifen's next statement, the scholar regretting bringing this topic up as he saw her response and remark. Brave? Fezz would append many a title and attribute to his name, brave is not one. Fezz has honestly lost count the number of times he's been terrified or just wanting to hide. He's no brave wizard or magician, he's just a... Cowardly historian.

Fezz wanted to tell her that she was wrong, that even with that contraption she fared and kept her head better than he ever could. But nothing came out, instead leaving silence to fill the gap with its presence. Another regret, he thought, as he watched her ride off towards the next engagement. The short reprieve in the violence over, it seems, the man tried to focus on blocking himself back into his mind as he let his body go through the motions.

Move to (5,7), swap to Photon, ZOT the spy!

Miguel giddies on up to 4,7, and classically stabs Treasurer A, before turning his tired horse to 3,7.

Poor Sancho just wasn't used to all this madness.
