"I got him to surrender. We're done needlessly ending lives for the day! Totally done." That last sentence was punctuated by a short glare at Matilda.

Sheila then turned back to Leo and the others. "Hey! Fight's over! Leo, you should tend to the wounded! Grifen, you too! Fezz, you c'mere!"

Leo quickly moved to stand between Matilda and Yonn.

"This man surrendered to Sheila. We should at least hear his side of this before we make any... rash decisions. And speaking of, has anyone seen Eleonore or Julius? She flew off with him at the start of the battle..."

He turned to Sheila.

"I will, as soon as I'm sure this situation is going to remain nonviolent."

[Haspen]

"Lady Matilda, I believe there is some misunderstanding-"

"Like hell there is! You tried to kill us! After your grandfather promised to help us!"

"No, that's, I mean, I was told you are coming to kill him!"

"..."

"This axe girl told me... do you have any evidence? Did you bring the letters with yourself, perhaps?" After a moment of glaring at Yonn, she slid a hand into her armor and pulled out a rolled paper, a little crumpled and torn at edges by now. Hesistating, she gave it to him - Yonn unrolled it and began reading. Paleness and terror began to crystalize at his face pretty soon.

"Not so confident, are we now, hmm?" Yonn looked at the letter again, quickly re-reading it, before looking back at Matilda.

"I, this, it is, but, this is handwriting of the Fifth Concubine... my current step-mother. I swear it is, it makes it official, I, I..." He was at loss of words for a moment, before running a hand over his face, muttering something underneath.

"Lady Matilda, utmost and most sincere apologies for this, this grave misunderstanding. I shall escort you myself to my grandfather's castle, I mean, there must be some explanation. If we will be betrayed, I swear, you can take my life as compensation..."

"Agreed! The moment we get backstabbed again, I will skewer you myself!" Yonn, terrified, broken and confused as hell, turned to his men, ordering them to prepare the burials and to prepare to return to their fort for debriefing and to cooperate with Matilda and her men.
The lady in question rubbed her temples, grumbled about something quietly and then turned toward Sheila.

"Well, this isn't going to be as easy as I thought. Sheila, Leo, bring everyone here. Give me a moment to think."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Sheila, can you take care of that? I'll handle the wounded."

He turned to Yonn.

"Yours too, of course. Bring your injured over to me and I will tend to their wounds."

"I'm sorry for your losses. Please understand we only fought to defend ourselves."

"You could stand to go a bit easier on that guy, you know. He just led a good two thirds of the men under his command to their deaths on a mistake, he's probably really shaken up." Sheila stuck two fingers into her mouth and blew loudly, making a circling motion over her head with one finger afterward.

[Haspen]

"Leo, tend to our wounded first. Yonn has his own healers, two of them even." She looked at the soldiers, who ran away previously, but now were cautiously returning to Yonn, their heads low.

Yonn didn't hear Leo as he was already amongst his men, talking to them.

Leo shrugged.

"Very well."

He walked over to Alec.

"Let me see your wounds. Hmm. They're bad, but I've seen worse. Here, just a moment and you'll be as good as new."

: "Hey, you! Robed lady! It's okay, now. You can come on over."

Candy motioned to Sonja.

[Sirus]

Grifen did a quick headcount and realized that a couple of people were missing.

: "Hey, did anyone see a big flyin' lizard with a masked lady? I kinda lost track of her during the fight."

"Yeah, I think I saw Sara fly off toward the ballistae pretty early in the fight." Sheila pointed up to a path that'd let Grifen bypass the cliff face. "If you're gonna go look for her, I'd go that way. Considering I haven't seen her in the air for a while though, I'm betting she cut and ran."

[Sirus]

: "Aw, don't be so negative Sheila. I bet she just landed behind some trees or somethin', get away from that ballista. Prob'ly not a bad idea, all things considered. I mean, sure she can be a jerk sometimes but she ain't stupid."

Grifen rode up the path leading towards the top of the cliff.

[CrimsonEon]

"Let me see your wounds. Hmm. They're bad, but I've seen worse. Here, just a moment and you'll be as good as new."

: "Pfft, please. This is hardly as bad as I've gotten in some scrap-" Alec winced when he accidentally pulled at a wound when putting his flute away.
: "Ow, ow, agh..."

[Furtuka]

Julius ran back to the ballista area, pushing the tree branches out of his way as he sprinted out of the woods.

"Eleanore?!" he shouted as he pulled himself out into the clearing.

Gazing around until he saw the dark shape of Sara's wyvern lying beside the ballista.

"Eleanore are you-"

As he got closer he saw how motionless the two had become and slowed, carefully kneeling down to shake her shake her shoulder.

"Eleanore?"

[Haspen]

There was no response. The soul have passed away long, long ago.

Leo shook his head.

"There is no need to downplay your injuries. I'm here to help, and if your bruises and cuts aren't fully healed now they can cause you more trouble down the road."
