With only two people here with a sword, one of which I have to take up with me onto the cliff to help clear the artillery out."

Alec, I need you to work your mojo for us- we might be able to take down a few before they have a chance to hassle us."

If Leo were a less charitable person, he might have suggested now was a good time to get out of the rebels by telling the enemy forces they were pressed into this fight and wanted no part of it, and they would walk off and leave them Matilda if it was allowed. But he was too goodhearted to think of such a thing; he had basically promised her father that he would look after her, at least for the time being.
