"Hey, pride happens. And it all worked out in the end. I'm just glad to hear you're not gonna be doing it again."

Grifen wiped at her eyes and tried a smile.
: "No way am I gonna be stupid again. Nomad's honor."

The sailors quickly prepared the ship and it sailed away. Slowly, the shores of Mireos went smaller and smaller on the horizon...

Alec merely opted to stand near the ship's aft, watching the land grow ever more distant, still wearing that same smirk on his face.

Grifen watched the dock shrink away into the distance as they set sail. She wondered if they'd be closer to, or further away from, home when they arrived at their destination.
: "S'cuse me Sheila, I gotta get Bree tied up safe before we get too far out." She walked off to do exactly that.

Miguel on his part simply let go of the reigns and let Sancho roam free. The old horse seemed decidedly uncomfortable on the ship's deck.

Sara left Reyel on their own, before moving off to a small crate and standing beside it, placing a small cloth bag upon it, seemingly filled.

Sheila watched Grifen head off, then leaned against the rail, watching the water instead of the land.

With a couple upbeat taps on the railing, Alec turned off and away from the aft and onto the main deck of the ship, eyes scanning about as he hummed a small shanty to himself. Along the way, he passed by Sara, and his gaze passed over the bag on the crate.
: "Hope you're being paid well, all things considered." The bard offered with more than a bit of care, glancing over to the Wyvern off on the other end of the deck. On second look, though, Alec could see an odd shape to the pouch, "Hmm, no... Those aren't coins, are they?"

: "Ah, I'm not too concerned about payment beyond food and board really, not that we are being paid anyway. I just hope the others are taking it somewhat well.

But I'm rambling. It's not coins in here."
Opening the bag, Sara pushed the contents of it out onto the crate. Small wooden figures, with their feet attached to a square at the bottom, spilled out onto the crate. The variety among them was rather astounding, having been hand-crafted. Some were just basic footmen that made up the majority, others were mounted upon horses, extra details carved into them.

: "A collection of miniature soldiers, I've had these for years."

Alec's eyebrow raised for a moment, with a grin he crouched to be on eye-level with the troops.
: "Oh? Well there's something you don't see every day." Alec commented, carefully uprighting a figure dangerously near the edge of the crate with a quiet 'tack', "Good quality material, excellent cuts. I wouldn't be surprised if a buyer would pay a healthy sum for them. Are these your handiwork?"

: "I didn't make them so much as I was the person that paid a lot for them. Well worth the gold too, and they're laminated too so they'll last a long time. They're pretty useful when it comes out to trying tactics and such though, since you just need the igure to do something rather than have someone actually do it."

Sheila sighed, realizing that though she'd gotten around to talking to Grifen, but not Leo, and went off to find him. She felt she'd gotten off easy with Grifen, who'd taken the talk shockingly well, and quickly understood Sheila's point. She just hoped Leo would respond the same way.

Miguel wandered the deck idly with his hands folded behind his back and squinted into the horizon. Nothing but water and shimmering sea. Nothing. His mind was wandering again, made sober by the salty sea air. He found himself standing next to a green-haired woman with an axe on her side. This one actually looked like she could be a real mercenary. His feet shuffled awkwardly and he coughed into his fist.

: "Ahem... Nice weather, yes?"

Sheila was broken out of her thoughts by Miguel's remark. She smiled at the older man. "Yeah, it is. Really nice sailing weather."

"Have you seen our priest?"
Sheila asked, looking around. It was sometimes hard to spot someone on deck, with all the lines and rigging. "I was kind of hoping to talk to him about something."
