: "Hear hear!"

: "We may! I would have handled those foul creatures on my own well enough, but it was good to have some company. Your priest... Leo I believe. That saintly fellow did a top notch job with my battle wounds. Capital fellow that, you're lucky to have him on board."

: "Now... I hate to impose but would you grant me the liberty of your names? I'm afraid I don't know a soul on this vessel aside from Brother Leo and Matilda."

[Powder Miner]

:"Sure. My name's Efa Llewellyn."

[Sirus]

Grifen personally had her doubts that the old man could have handled all of those gargoyles on his own, but he was certainly stronger and tougher than she was. She decided to leave it be.

: "Name's Grifen, from Masalla. Pleased ta meet'cha."

[birdy51]

: "I am called Miguel Cervantes; of Garaz! It is a pleasure!"

Miguel bent down on one knee to kiss their hands as he had seen many knights do before him. Then his back started crack dangerously and he quickly aborted the gesture.

: "Ow ow ow... Sorry... I would kiss your hands, but I am afraid my back is a bit tight. Perhaps another time."

[Sirus]

: "Eh? What's wrong with yer back, old-timer? Anything I can help with?"

[birdy51]

: "Oh it's nothing. Just been spending too much time in saddle that's all!"

He pointed at Efa with his greaves.

: "Hoho! You should be glad you don't have to ride a horse. Smarts one's back lancing into things like that and I can hardly stay upright in the saddle! I would probably be a groundling myself like you, but that's just how it goes I suppose! Hoho- ooh ow..."

[Sirus]

: "Oh...yeah, sorry. I can't heal injuries like that, 'specially if they've been around a while."

She rummaged through her pouch for a few moments before retrieving a jar of thick, greenish liquid.

: "But I can give ya this! Rub a little on where it hurts before ya go to bed and it'll help ease the pain. I use it myself!"

[Powder Miner]

Efa took on an almost amused tone as the two of them discussed chronic pains.
:"Huh. Maybe I should be glad I'm on foot."

[birdy51]

: "Well... I haven't been riding all that long. I'm certain my horse wasn't quite made for hard riding either. Come to think of it the saddle may be the problem too and- Oh? What's this?"

Miguel took the jar from Grifen and inhaled deeply.

: "Oooohh that smells bad! What's in this concoction?"

[Sirus]

Grifen giggled again at Efa's comment. The rush from being a brave fighter hadn't quite worn off yet, and she was feeling slightly light-headed.

: "Aw, riding horses ain't got anythin' ta do with my aches! It's fer my arm when I use it too much."

: "Oooohh that smells bad! What's in this concoction?"

: "Sorry, secret family recipe."

Miguel quietly slipped it into his riding pouch. While he wasn't quite sure he wanted such a smelly thing, courtesy insists that he would take the gift. Green goo was not his first choice for fixing a bad back, but some people just have those kind of traditions.

: "Well... I suppose I'll try it later at some point..."

: "Now... I must ask something to sate my curiousity! How did the two of you get involved with this business? You two don't look like mercenaries to me. On that note I must say that the entirety of this band looks a bit of an odd bunch. How did you get here?"

[Powder Miner]

:"Inquisitive, aren't you? Well, I was looking for a better way to get money and practice my bow, one thing led to another, and I ended up a mercenary."

[Sirus]

: "Fezz and I were guarding a wagon when we met up with everyone else. At first I just joined up because Leo said he could teach me ta use magic. But everyone's so nice, I think I would stick with 'em anyway!"

[Xanmyral]

Fezz nodded at the mention of his name, drawn away from his thoughts. He had wandered onto the deck quietly prior.
"Yes, we met when they aided us from the accosting of banditry, saving us from a rather sour situation. I, as Grifen has mentioned, am Fezz Scordato, wandering historian and journeyman, trained by the esteemed Alberto Scordato himself." The man spoke with a slightly puffed chest at introducing himself, although it quickly deflated with his next line.
"I..." The mage paused momentarily, before his shoulders slumped slightly.
"Didn't really have much else to go when the merchant we were helping left us without notice. Sadly, he took off with most of my personal items. I wouldn't really call mercenary work a... Calling of mine. Nor title myself such. But I've no ill feeling, most that I've met in the group are personable and enjoyable company. Indeed, it feels almost like fate or great luck."
