: "Unless you plan on putting a lot of heads on pikes, I doubt visiting Kretos is going to work towards that Ma'am..." Sara interjected, sound as bitter as always.

[Haspen]

"Shouldn't you leave that to me? Anyways, I will go to the ship and speak with the captain. You lot, prepare to come aboard as well." With that, Matilda moved toward the ship.

[Taricus]

: With all due respect, there's risky and there's insane. This plan of yours falls squarely into insane, because in all honestly you are going to the one place where the nobles seem to pride themselves upon emulating the emperor."

[Haspen]

"So you're afraid of some southern nobles?"

Miguel chuckled heartily.

: "Indeed! What nonsense!"

: "Anyone can be compelled into action! You just have to apply the right pressures and stir their spirits with a rousing speech!"

Then he did a double take at the shadowy robed figure. His eye brow cocked up in a surprised, perhaps vaguely judgmental manner.

"Now pardon my manners dear fellow, but I haven't the slightest clue as to what your name is."

[Taricus]

: "Not at all. It does seem rather counter-productive to start with the one place that more or less guaranteed not to aid us, and I doubt we have the money to buy enough slaves to raise an army either."

[CrimsonEon]

Alec twirled the flute in his hand a couple times before sliding it back into its case.
: "A fine start for a journey, no?" The bard sighed and brushed off his coat, "I wouldn't worry too much about that, though. I'm quite certain we have reasons the Duke will listen to."

The old merchant crossed his arms.

: "Hmmph. One can't simply fight using slaves. They have no motivation, no cause. They would route at the first sign of hard combat; even if we paid them. But... Well we'll see when we get there. At this very moment, I shall to hold a vigilant vigil and wait for the first signs of our ship at the end of the pier. Come Sancho! There's a good horse."

Taking his horse by the reigns he went to stand at attention looking out over the sea. Sailing again! But to Knossos... Why Knossos. He had traveled there often as a merchant to buy raw materials to sell to jewelers and other artisans and Garaz. He wasn't fond of the place. Too much poverty. With vivid detail, Miguel could recall the dull, sunken faces of her citizen slaves and the arduous labor that they spent in the mines. Labor of that kind was barbaric, inhuman perhaps. This girl... Was she really going to align herself with the duke of the island? The thought weighed upon his heart like a bar of lead.

: "I suppose I'll just have to keep an eye on her. Her actions will tell me whether her intentions are truly pure."

[Haspen]

Matilda just waved her hand at Sara's face and boarded the ship. The captain laughed when he noticed her.

"Well, I didn't know that dealing with Mireos nobility means having you as a passenger again! I didn't know you work for the Duke."

"Captain Inara. I'm sorry for hiding my identity last time. My real name is Matilda. Were you informed where you're suppose to take us?"

"Yes, I'm going to deliver you to the port of Tyll, on the isle of Kretos. I've been paid handsomely for this delivery so please, take your people aboard and relax. And Matilda is just as pretty name as Irene!"

"I see more sailors than before. Should I prepare to fight another Leif of sorts?" The captain laughed again, louder than before.

"Nay, lass! This time I picked the crew on my own. No one else but loyal, hardworking seamen here." Matilda smiled and nodded, before moving up to the railing.

"Oi, you guys! Get on the ship before we set sail without you!"

[Sirus]

: "Ya mean it? If we don't get on the boat, we can go free?"

: "Quite right... I'm coming!"

Miguel attempted to lead his horse up on the gangway... Where the horse immediately protested and began to neigh and whinny nervously.

: "Come now Sancho! I'm sure this time the boat won't be sinking any time soon like the last one! Just up and over..."

[Haspen]

"Yes! You won't be paid and I will have you arrested for dereliction of mercenary duty _{if that's even a thing.}"

"Just get on the boat already."

[Sirus]

: "Shoot. Well, it was worth a try."

Grifen guided Bree up the boarding ramp.

Candy gladly steps off the boat and away from this crazy place!

Miguel dragged the unwilling Sancho onto the boat and joined the conversation.

: "Well if my memory serves me, I do believe the young girl is in the right about this. You said that you were leaving her behind, as opposed to her leaving her duty behind. If you don't give her a direct order to board the ship, it's well within her mercenary rights to lounge about on the shore for as long as she likes until you take this ship out of harbor without her; whereupon her contract is breached by you abandoning her on foreign soil and the contract becomes null and void!"
