Sheila gawked at Leo's hair, since it was in the way of his face. "Whoa, you know, you two look really, really alike like that. You two have the same nose and everything. Which reminds me-" Without anything that truly passed for a warning, Sheila grabbed Fezz by the shoulder and pulled him close enough that their faces were mere inches apart. Then she tried to hold his hair out of the way long enough to get a look at his eyes.

Back at the castle, Julius finally awoke from his bed. Rolling on his side, he lazily groped for his mask that had been left on the stand to his left. Finding it, he climbed out of bed and went over to a small mirror hanging on the wall and got his hair in order. A prospective hero had to keep up his appearance.

It feels strange staying somewhere so opulent. The nobles truly do have it much better than the rest of us. I guess I should enjoy the peace and quiet while it lasts, who knows when we're going to have to march out for whatever it is they have planned for us.

"...actually why is it so quiet? I can't even hear a door opening."

Julius hurriedly put his mask and hood on and rushed out into the hall. Checking the rooms of the mercenaries confirmed that yes, he was the only one still here.

Oh Dragon, what if I overslept and got left behind. A hero is not suppose to have this happen to him! Surely they couldn't have forgotten me right? What if Matilda thinks I deserted or something! I don't even want to think about what will happen it-

Seeing a servant pass by Julius quickly ran up to them and got their attention.

"You wouldn't happen to know where the mercenaries that were staying here went? They didn't set out already did they?"

@Julius:

"Uh, well, I think most of them left the castle on some errands or other sightseeing in the city."

Fezz appeared neutral on the subject of his and Leo's similarities in appearance, hoping to himself that it would just fizzle away soon. He was about to try to make a joke and drive the topic to a different point, but before he could even attempt he was surprised by a hand on his shoulder and Shelia suddenly very close in front of him.

His ability to keep a straight face cracked and fell away as Shelia moved his hair out of the way, the scholar looking both nervous, confused, and a little embarrassed.

"Ah, er, I suppose the similarities are rather... Uh, striking. Eh-heheh..." He really did look very similar to Leo, down to the very eye color, with a minute difference in skin tone.

"I get the feeling I missed something from your tone, Grifen."

Leo messed his hair back up to its usual style.

"What is it?"

Grifen merely gestured at Fezz's face.

: "Anyone got a looking glass fer the preacher? Cuz Fezz here makes a pretty good substitute."

Leo looked at Fezz. He blinked. After a moment he rubbed the side of his nose nervously.

"Well... that's certainly an odd coincidence. I'm not sure what to make of it."

For once he was completely at a loss for an explanation, and he shrugged, hands open.

Fezz's mind double-timed for an excuse of some kind, running dry at every turn. "Ah, yes. Yes it is quite odd." The half-hearted remark was the best he could manage. His mind panicked and just winged it.

"Sooo... Anything else to do today? I've been thinking about possibly taking you up on your earlier offer Leo, about the meditating."

He had to physically stop himself from finishing that with a pause and a 'thing.' Not that it helped him seem less like he was trying to swing the subject around.

Grifen put the strange similarity out of mind for now.

: "Oh. Oh yeah, you should probably try that. It might help with the...y'know, weirdness. And I think I got something that might help as well, later."

@Julius:

"Uh, well, I think most of them left the castle on some errands or other sightseeing in the city."

Julius visibly drooped a little and sighed in relief.
"Oh. Well thank you. I suppose I should go find them. Are there any of them still in the castle?"

Leo nodded. Best to ignore odd coincidences. Even if that coincidence happens to be somebody who looks exactly like you, which is impossible.

"Sure, we can do that when we get back to the keep, as well as on the ship to our next destination."

He turned to Grifen.

"Some kind of herb?"

He meant what she had that would help, of course. As a medicine woman, Grifen knew about that sort of thing, and Leo was interested in knowing.

: "Close enough. An herbal tea that works wonders for panic and stress, which if I followed yer explanation before is what Fezz seems to have trouble with."

: "Obviously it ain't something one can make or drink in the middle of a fight, but I figger it might help - if Fezz is interested, of course."

"Ah, well, even if he's uninterested I would quite like to try. I do get tired of the usual tea and water."
