Leo made the mistake of thinking about that. He was silent for a few seconds.

"No, no that's quite all right. Um. Oh good Dragon."

He hid his face with his hand.

"Can we talk about something else? Please?"

Sheila laughed long and hard at that one. "Haha, wow. Okay, we can talk about something that won't render you completely speechless." Sheila looked around at the city around her. "This is a pretty big city. Maybe we could look around, see if maybe there's a playhouse or something, see some theatre?"

Leo pounced on the idea.

"Yes, yes, that's a good idea. Hmm. I would say we're in the business district right now... I'm not sure where the theatre would be, but it should be somewhere in this ar-"

A pink blur zoomed by, followed by a black and white one.

"...You don't see that every day."

"Anyway, it should be somewhere around here. Shall we go look?"

Sheila narrowed her eyes after the pair of blurs that had shot by them. One had been suspiciously pink. "...Nah. Couldn't be."

"Yeah, let's look around, ask some locals."

Candy tapped his foot for a moment, trying to come up with something.

: "No... I can't think of anything! Except, maybe, that I'm an apprentice fairy, and everyone knows fairies are more in-tune to the bizarre and otherworldly. Being a magnet for weird stuff sure is a double-puffed pom-pom!"

Fezz was about to refute, before sighing and relenting. The money was more important than the book, he can just make another. Once he gets his trunk... "Alright, apologies then. I'll happily take the coin, I wish you a good day ma'am." Note to self, old women do not like to be haggled with. Nor take the time to get a blank book and transfer a spell.

Leo looks around for local performing artists or a theater.

@Candy:

"Err, you're what? Actually, nevermind. There was a beast, and we killed it." The guards turned on their heels and left, as the boy kept staring at Candy for a moment.

"Woaah, magical demon-destroying fairy!" He ran off excited, prolly to tell his friends a tale or three.

And then Candy heard something for the last time.

That whisper.

@Fezz:

"Nice to see a young man with oil in his head." Fezz lost the tome and got some coinage.

@Sheileo:

There was a theatre nearby, but it would be open in few hours, after the sunset. The today's performance is 'Leia the Crimson Princess', and apparently it was based on real princess from antiquity and the tale was full of murder, betrayal, heroic deeds and familial tragedy.

On the market plaza, a group of bards was plinging on their lutes some kind of cheerful melody whilst a juggler was tossing five differently coloured balls between his two hands.

"Well, maybe we'll be able to catch the performance after we talk to the duke and get paid." Sheila said, distractedly watching the juggler. "What do you think Leo, should we head back, or stay out a while longer?"

[Sirus]

Eleanor was probably the last person Grifen wanted to see at the moment. Still, she had to remember what Ma had taught here.

: "Oh, hello there. Nuthin's the matter, just lookin' for a new bow. Might have to wait until bosslady - I mean, Matilda - pays us."

[Taricus]

: "How much did you need? I have two-hundred on me at the moment, and since I got a family heirloom a little earlier." Sara gestured to the Halberd, before speaking again.

: "I don't really need it all. So yeah, how much did you need?"

[Sirus]

Grifen hesitated before answering.

: "It's nice of ya to offer, but I ain't to fond of being indebted to folk."
Especially not folk I ain't fond of. Still, Pa always said not to look a gift horse in the mouth...
"If it really ain't a problem, maybe a hunnerfifty? That oughta do it."

The historian smiled and nodded at the compliment, he thinks it was a compliment, took his money and moved on. He idly wondered if name dropping Alberto might of helped any... Probably not.

The counted up his money real quick. Not enough to buy Starshot sadly, and he's not fond of asking others for money. That Thani looked nice too though, cheaper too... Ah well, it was just something that would of been nice to have, he doesn't need it. Still, there was a second store Fezz saw, that adventurer shop or some such. Might be good to check it out at least.

Sara takes her coin bag of her belt, before handing it to Grifen.

: "May as well take it all then. Don't worry about being indebted though, you need it more than I do. Keep the leftover gold if you want to as well, I don't need it."

[Sirus]

: "Well, thanks Eleanor! That's downright friendly of ya. But don't worry, ya need my help for somethin' and I'll do my best."

Grifen took the bag of money and waved good-bye as she headed back to the crossbow store.
