I also smell possible conflict between the armoured and the infantry sides of the regiment.

This is part of the reason we are doing it isn't it?
Of course! It's !!FUN!! after all.

A heavily mixed, disparate regiment like this one must be the source of countless headache for the guys in charge. !!Roleplay!!

Also, just to point out, with the right selection of doctrines and such it is entirely possible to create a regiment of cyborg dinosaur cavalry.
I'll just leave this here...

We have a drop section, its still possible in this setup

You really can both sig it.
But... That would break the laws of sigging! We can't have everyone running around with the same quotes. IT MAKES THEM UNFUNNY FASTER!

If possible, may the regiments make sense? I know this is bay 12 and how awesome it is to have flying cavalry and stuff, but it would be better if things actually made sense with setting (and it would make things easier for me).

Wait, there's a player list?

This is 40K you're talking about.

(Also I said cyborg dinosaur cavalry, not flying cavalry. The latter was just an example of something you could technically make with the doctrines available, not a suggestion for something that would be all that fun to play given it would put you above most cover)

I remember an old White Dwarf with actual, official rules for cyborg dinosaur imperial cavalry in tabletop. But we probably won't do that here.

I vote for Fortress world, with an Armoured core and Artillery, Drop and Guerilla. (mostly because everyone wants them.)
+1

I think it's pretty clear what the team wants. Though I wish we could switch artillery for something else. I like infantry a whole heck of a lot so hopefully I'll get to have a whole bunch of them. :3

As long as I get either them or the guerillas I'm super happy. Otherwise I'm just happy.

I don't know nearly enough of this to be a reliable contributor to the world/regiment choices.

I know how you feel, then I spent 2 frickin weeks reading up on it all so I'd know what the heck I'm talking about.

If you wanna know about something then just ask, might as well put the encyclopedia in my head to some use.

It's not as complex as you're making it out to be imho.
