Have you forgotten your skillset? It's not that he doesn't want us to know what they are, it's that you have NO skill in alchemy to identify those liquids with. You probably have a good idea of how machinery works, but you can't rely on that in something that's an entirely different field of knowledge.

I realize, its just that i am insanely stubborn and as dwarves normally have interesting chemical weapons in games and sutch I thought that perhaps he saw that sort of thing in the workshops.

If it's in his characters nature though then he should do it, ignoring what your character would do to make something easier goes against the point of a RP doesn't it?

And I was just pointing out that it splitting updates or it being more likely to get you killed doesn't really matter since your character doesn't have any idea  of that.

It is a RP game.... the whole point of it is you play your character, not make a character then play yourself otherwise it isn't a RP game.

You know, for someone so concerned about roleplaying correctly, your posts are oddly devoid of roleplay. =]  There are so many things that you've typed out here, in the OOC thread, that your character could express instead— with body language, even if not with words— and so many narratively flat action posts that you could colour with Bekter's details (the last quote is only the worst example I noticed; all the others are technically better [if you prompt me on this, I can make a mini-essay on details I would've used]).

(Also, I have no idea if it's impolite for me to post here, but I read the threads and preferred them... I guess I'm actually just hoping it isn't and expecting to become silent if it is. Consider this a preemptive apology.)

I'm wearing a mask and growling quietly. Over the sound of fightning nobody would hear it and it meant more moving silently.

It was only for a second anyway.

I recall he said the whetstones are good for maintaining and caring for weaponry, but that the ones you guys had were a bit too far gone for just sharpening to help much.
