The only problem I have with sending Camerathing and wuffles is that anyone who has seen these things before will recognise them as cogs, servants of evil Incognito. We need to either ask Chemista what our mechanical minions used to look like in our hero days and camouflage them accordingly, or just not pretend to be Silver at all.
If we choose to portray ourselves as Silver, we need to disguise the cogs and the 'thing (obviously no robes or chains for him in this case) and program our ambassador to remember that we are currently hiding from the overlord's forces, recovering from grave injuries we sustained in Chemista's (who, if asked, he should state is subservient to the new overlord) captivity before Knighthowl gave his life to free us.
If we choose the other option, Camerathing will have to believe that he is the messenger of evil overlord Incognito and his slave/servant/accomplice/lover Chemista, who are currently holding Silver in captivity and performing horrifying experiments on him. Incognito is not sure that Silver is sane enough to even remember who Cheerie is anymore, but seeing how the overlord is a kind and gentle evil soul, he has sent his minion to relay Cheerie's last message to The Hero before project Omega-16 "renders him incapable of feeling anything other than hatred". Then, as Cheerie is about to leave/breakdown, have Camerathing mention that his master is not only sentimental, but also a businessman, and that he proposes to hand Silver over to Cheerie in exchange for cooperation against HEROES.
Obvioulsy rig the 'thing and wuffles with explosives. Not sure about our forces hanging around just in case, though.
