Recomfort Cerulean, tell her that these things happen.

Also, that 1 wasted a +6 in destruction. DAMN.

Also, we should remember that making Cerulean sacrifice her own tears made the wizard be a transvestite.

So, it seems that sacrificing a part of you makes the summoned thing to be like you.

Actually think that is because it is was a magical girl staff/wand she made that we sacrificed, thus it was a magical girl like freak. If using her tears makes it like herself it would have been gooey in form.

spoiler]Explanation: The end-result of the 'Creature Type' does not vary. By sacrificing Blood, you demand something living. By sacrificing something 'fluffy', you demand something 'fluffy'. By sacrificing the robes, you demand something magical. By sacrificing the tears -flesh of the daughter- you demand something that isn't really on the 'good' side of the deal. (Aka, without the tears you would have summoned a Pixie Mauve, just to make an example)
Now, is this 'Imp Mauve' special? That's up to you. She can be one of the many Dark minions -albeit with a name- or you can make her a side-kick, dark advisor and so on with time.
Your call.[/spoiler

Her tears are goo, she's goo, thus her tears count as flesh of the daughter.

I'm not sure what we'd have to sacrifice to get something that's made of goo - what it's made of might be randomized.  Flesh of the daughter just ensured non-good, and possibly helped increase the power period, because of connection to summoner tied to connection with summoner's sacrifice (not even sure if Shade's using that kinda stuff though) - those tears were shed because of the realization of loss of the staff.

Happily dance because of your victory, and build that long table.

Punctuation is not a vice, my friend.

Anyway, tell Cerulean that we were going to make her an even better staff.

And then tell her that she can't have it?

Better idea, add an impromptu moral to these events. Something like:
"See, this is what happens when we're too focused on our ambitions. They grow dark, turn upon ourselves, and ultimately, destroy us. Do not live solely for your ambitions, but live like who you really are, and your time will come. "

I don't think Cerulean lives for her ambitions. She has lived to exact painful vengeance upon the Heroes and to save little girls from excruciating mutations so far. We can just tell her that we will give her an even better staff when she is ready.

In any case, just comfort her, poor girl is having a breakdown.

Oh, and Shadenight, can't we just skip to the upkeep of the next day? I am pretty sure the majority's vote is to build steelworks, so we have to just decide whom to train, what to sacrifice and which cogs to build.

Considering we did that last turn, I assume we can do that this turn too.

Unless, of course, there's an event of significance occurring.

Huh? Didn't follow that Tomcost.
Cerulean was (or why not, IS) a magical girl. She sacrificed a part of herself. We got a magical girl wizard. That was what I meant to say.

So, yeah. Comfort Cerulean, tell us it's the first time it happens.

Then go on a single mission. Don't want the world to think we've gone soft, after all.

Then steelworks.

You comfort Cerulean, gently tapping her shoulders.
"This happens."
"N-Not to you," she replies between sobs, sniffling loudly before lounging to hug you and cry on your chest.
"Now, now, everything's solved," you say, giving a signal to send the rest of the troops back to their jobs. "You didn't succeed, but you did well."
"I failed. Miserably." She says bitterly. "I'll never become a Dark Advisor like this, dad."
"Just give it time," you reply. "I'll have another staff made...and then, when you're ready, I'll give it to you."
"Really?"
"Yes, really."
She smiles hesitantly at first, but then full out. "Thanks daddy!"
"Now slink along," you send her on her way.

The next day comes.

You build the steelwork!
Lord Gamington hasn't stopped dancing once.
Not on the Dance-Dance console, but he is dancing of joy.
"It's done! Your evilness! Now we can make Steel-Cogs!"
He thumps his chest, now shiny and all. "The power of Steel!"
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Now...
What do you build in Cogs?
What do you summon with the Sad System?

“Do something!” she whispered, trying to keep her sight on all of them at once.
Basileus clapped his hands once. The Forgotten took a step forward, attracted by the sound.
“There, I did something. I clapped. I like clapping,” he said. -The Investigator And The Case Of The Missing Brain.
