Would love to hurt this smug bastard, but you have a point, maybe ask what makes his Overlord so much better, maybe ask if he knows who we really are or what happened to our worlds squidacconda. If anything ask if there is anything he wants to know that we can bargain with.

Edit:Could ask if there is anything in his world he wanted but our other self wouldn't let him have or was taken from him. eg: say he by chance has the same brother as our version, we offer to let him see him. (unlikely example but you get my point)
