Indeed. Let's push them all. Order does not matter.

Stand next to Psysquid.

And no, I am confident this choice isn't a "press X to game over" button.

Did we grab Yellow Kings mutagen yet? Should if we haven't already, sounds like what the all flavors thing meant. (Edit:Plus we may as well benefit from our other selves hard work, he probably already did the same to our guy)
Voting we go with the fire one, he sounds !!FUN!! (Always wanted to find an excuse to use that and feel somewhat justified btw)

Guess we should be prepared in case this one is violent, should see what they know about Cherrie, and our other selves , based on what Yellow King told us we can't exactly trust this info but meh, might be of use.

Edit:Well since you asked, next to him.

Do not stand next to Psysquid. We don't want to get caught in another dimension.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You have Psysquid near the button that you cannot read -nor do you want to read, because you do realize that SAN loss might be something difficult to regain. And frankly, you don't see any button. You see Psysquid moving close, but you cannot seem to see any button.
You exit with a heavy and metallic looking diving suit, to ensure you can properly breathe -unfortunately, your lungs do require oxygen in the form of air, rather than water.
It's a moment, a moment in which you realize it's a really bad idea to watch an evil and demonic gate open up from close.
The moment passes.
You are still you. There's a Psysquid next to you too.
This one appears no different than the one you just sent away.
You look around for a moment, seeing absolutely nothing if not for the submarine.
And a strange tentacle mass that floats lazily by in the corner of your eye.
You turn sharply, trying to put it into focus, but it's already gone.

Incognito - Ability Acquired: Seeing Things That Aren't.

On the plus side you did already acquire the Yellow King Mutagen.
You turn to look at the 'Psysquid'
He doesn't appear much different, if not for his slightly larger head.

"Your evilness," he says in a slow monotone when you re-enter the submarine. "Why... are we here?"
"You're...not my Psysquid. You're from another reality." It takes you a while to explain the situation, but the creature understands.

"Oh, right," the Psysquid blinks. "I am Psysquid, the Bearer of Nihilism. We are all going to die anyway...so if you want, I can be of service."
Nihilism. +4.5 to Control, -1.5 to Des.
Nihilistic View: On a successful roll of mission success, the difference automatically lowers the enemy's forces...as they commit suicide.

Keep him? Change him? Stay close to him once more when he pushes the next button?

...What does "Seeing Things That Aren't" means? Like schizophrenia hallucinations?
I think that means we're not the last sane man in an insane world anymore.
Get his mutagens, ask him about Cheerie and his universe (what are we like, how we treat our minions, what was our ultimate mission and our approach to get it done) Then send him away. This would be a nice Psysquid to take (due to huge Control bonus) but I don't trust him.

Also, guys, we may not even be in our own universe anymore. How to check it?

Push Conflagration next.

Also, keep close to him. Maybe we'll win another ability, fire blasts maybe ?

Do not stay close, damn! We don't want eldritch horrors in our head.

Yes. Also tomcost, clearly you haven't played DF enough.

We can't get the mutagen, Chemista is not here nor is her equipment.

Or maybe go back to base, acquire mutagen, then go back to volcano and pull the lever push the button.

Go back to base, meet everyone. THey should be different if we are in another universe

And, for the love of Armok, can we stop losing sanity? This is never good. Hell, it is not even hilarious nor fun if it is the lovecraftian kind of insanity.
