Did we. We never did, IIRC.

I believe we are purposefully avoiding giving Cerulean a magic staff until one of our existing dark advisors dies and she has to take his place.

It would be good to have a fourth, wizard-like dark advisor, to get advice on magic and stuff.

We have Chemista as a scientist, Psysquid as a psionicist, Gamington as a warrior and mechanic, but considering how much we've been using magic without a specialist at hand...

Then it would be natural to get Cerulean as a sorceress, since she's already a magical girl. The problems are that she's:
-12 years old
-emotionally unstable
-most likely not very experienced in magic theory

There. Need I say more ? Maybe we could send her to a magical school, or to be the apprentice of one of these old, sorcerous villains . We ain't gonna develop that magical fusion reactor with beginner's luck.

The Radio-station is actually a good idea in the sense that we could attract other monsters with it. Or, at least draw their attention to us - I guess we should be able to find a magician of sorts amongst them. As master for our daughter or as advisor per se remains to be seen .

I do not believe that Cerulean requires any sort of further training to use her magical girl abilities. She was cerainly trained in their use as a hero, and then we also need to consider that even Psysquid and Gamington, both former security personnel, became instantly proficient with psionics and mechanics respectively the moment of their transformations, implying that competence with their powers is something all superhumans posess.

Actually, it would be a good idea to ask Cerulean how much does she know about magic, otherwise we would be tanning a living bear's hide talking about her training.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You ask Knighthowl, with a calm and collected mood.
"Have there ever been rogue heroes before?"
He grimaces, before nodding. "Well, yes. Many heroes cannot sustain the weight of their holy mission, or maybe they are corrupted by the evil influence of evil minions or overlords, and give in to the easier path. Some Overlords managed to successfully convert quite a number of heroes, but that was before the Asylum's correcting influence began to bring out the Heroic Heroes. From that moment onwards, the battle against evil became easier."
You then ask him who the first Hero was.
"The first Hero? Well, it was THE Hero. That is all we know about it, and it is the reason why the title of 'THE Hero' is given to all those tasked with the destruction of the Overlord, and who are said to share the same blood as their great ancestor."
Finally, you ask him if the Hero guild has ever failed.
"It has, in history. We call those period 'Dark Ages'. But that was a long time ago, when Overlord were mighty dragons or terrible beasts of great power and renowned capable of tearing apart entire countrysides with their might. With time, their bodies grew weaker and evil dwindled. Heroes were born to fight them, destined to win against them. No Evil Overlord rules forever, Silver. No king can sit upon his throne for all eternity. Time consumes all, time erases even the mightiest of mountains. History is written with ink on paper, and even then paper can burn and ink can fade..." his eyes glaze over, as if he is recalling something else.
"No cog can run smoothly forever." He chuckles. "You were a bit of a pessimistic hero back in your days."
You excuse yourself after that.
You have chosen your missions.

Mission Two and Mission Three Team selection
Mission 2: Gamington, Chihuahua, woar, aliwhale, bearphant, 5 cogs. (You can't use Chihuahua until she's mutated/cogified)
Mission 3: Overlord, (Chemista+German), succubus, hunter,  5 cogs, 2 wuffle cogs. (you have Nine 'Land troops' and two 'flying' troop)

Confirm Y/N?

You carefully walk close to Cerulean, and then ask off-handedly.
"So...how much magic do you know about?"
"Uh?"
"Well, you need a magical wand right?"
"Yes dad, why?"
"Well, how do I know you aren't going to hurt yourself with it?"
"Dad, I'm a magical girl. I can use a wand just fine!" she huffs, before smiling. "You don't have to worry! I'm a tough girl!"
"Yes but...what magic do you know about? Like...spells, or..."
"Uh? I'm a magical girl. I just fly around in a fancy white and tight suit that is considered 'cute' because I'm too young to be considered 'eye-candy' or 'fanservice'...except by perverts. I wave the wand and shoot the magic ray out of it. What is there more to it? Mage heroes are probably those with spells, dad."
You actually feel the need to exhale a sigh.
"So you'd use the wand to...wave it around and fire rays?"
"Yep!"
"And it works like that?"
"Yup! It also gives me the ability to change clothes! Mind you...I understand that as a jelly there isn't much I can do with them being sticky and all but..." she huffs, "the frills of the magical girl uniform were cute!"
You nod. You've got far more information than you wanted to have, so you'll have time to decide about it...

“Well,” he said. “We’re in the Forgotten hunting grounds I take it. Your screams just woke them up early. Congratulations, Lyara.”
“Do something!” she whispered, trying to keep her sight on all of them at once.
Basileus clapped his hands once. The Forgotten took a step forward, attracted by the sound.
“There, I did something. I clapped. I like clapping,” he said. -The Investigator And The Case Of The Missing Brain.

Confirm, but send Snowstar with Gamington for extra bonuses. It's next to the water after all.

If there is one, then seek until you find it.

And it turns out our daughter is frilly magical artillery, not a wizard. Which is just as good, considering that wizards are most often delegated to the role of magical artillery anyway.

Still, it might be good to ask everybody we know about their relationship with magic. Maybe even we ourselves are able to use it.

also, we should order Gamington to avoid killing the crew if possible. We want maximum benefits from that mission, that means a bunch of captured humans to give to Chemista's or Psysquid's transformative care.

Maybe we should order Gamington to hijack the boat instead of destroying it ? Maximum benefit strategy.

In that case, do both things I mentioned only if encountering light resistance.

If heavy resistance is found, then kill and burn with abandon.

Okay, she's magical artillery all right...
But Snowstar is a caster for sure. Just look at his combat moves, casting Ice-based death up and down. We actually gave him some capacity to become a mighty weapon of doom, undying-ly pouring down icy destruction......But yeah, he's a caster i bet. Just dunno how much of a proficient one.
We could figure out if Cerulean wants some classes if he's willing to give her some. If yes, keep looking throught those pipes so they won't try nothing funny.
