Lord bucket what we need is a goddamn suacidal cog that's first idea is "oh my overlord a threatning person i must huggles them with explosives!". They die cause supreme amounts of dmg to the enemy hero/cops/security and whatever else. Also it might be beneficial to make them invisible so they can actually get close.
So. Absurd, invisible, highly dangerous bombs that explode when they see a potential threat.

I SEE NO WAY IN WHICH THIS CAN GO WRONG

Not going to happen. By the game's own system, mooks don't have special abilities. Besides, they are never the first to attack either, so giving them much combat power is pointless.

The cogs are there to give support and soak damage.

IRRC, we can only summon one minion per turn. So we'll have to rely on minions for a while.

And the fact that we lost two (currently) irreplaceable Minions responsibles
for bringing home no less than two Advisors and a Sidekick.

How many succubi do we have? We have others don't we? I though there were more than two, we've only been sending two.
At the moment, 0. We only had 2, and lost them both.

Unfortunately mutagen requires a target to mutate. We have a shortage of subjects. From our limited testing, it appears that animal rather than human subjects make for inferior results.

Don't we still have those pets we gained from Chemista's most recent mission, other than the already altered snake?  If so, we have targets to mutate.

How adorable would a puppy, kitten, ducking, or turtle become after a successful infusion of succubus sample?

...yes, but as mentioned before, based on what we've seen, injecting animals appears to generate monsters, which the wiki says can only do destruction missions. It's probably a beneficial thing we should do yes...but it's an incomplete solution.

That's hard to argue with, but so far we've only tested this once, using an animal target (anaconda, animal type known for aggression) and infusing it with animal sample (squid, known for ravenous hunger), right?

And it somehow learned how to write despite this background, too.  It's a pretty smart monster.

That doesn't convince me that animal targets can only become monsters, though I grant that it's possible.  Maybe it shouldn't be done, maybe we need to do other things instead.  But I suspect that we don't know what class will typically be created when we combine animal targets with higher quality sample types.

Ideas:

Arc Cogs - ranged cogs that fire blasts of lightning to take out enemies from a distance

Enforcers - serve as elite soldiers, bodyguards and potentially assassins, think machine like terminators from the movies

Also let's get wasp DNA. Make a wasp queen monster minion not advisor and have it lay tons of monster eggs for an army.

We can train up to 4 minions a turn. Pretty sure your fluff won't be able to break the rules that easily.

I thought he said we could make four cogs per turn and that monsters lay eggs over time. Wasps lay lots of eggs so I figured wasp monsters might at least lay them more often than other monsters. Hopefully worth consideration anyway.

If wasps can't be found, maybe ants. I just figured wasps are better because they can fly.

Monsters are destruction only units, and well, survive on the local environment.

I doubt giant Wasps or ants are going to find much food over here.

What if we made normal-sized EVIL ants or wasps?

Then what have them crawl up hero's butts randomly during a fight? no we may need a new base to accomplish our wasp dream IF we ever get to do it.

Well adding squid seems to have the effect of making things psychic sometimes. Perhaps squasps would form a hive mind.

Cockroaches... they can eat anything. But yeah we can save them for destruction missions if giving them intelligence is too difficult.
