UPGRADE.
+1 (upgrading training ground, I mean...)
I am tempted.  I'd want mission 2, possibly mission 1 as well.  But No!  We have been a very evil, very active Overlord.  We have earned our upgrade upkeep time, of which we have almost never done, so surely have not at all done too often.  Cheerie will do something this turn and make it seem somehow like she's overtaken the evil biz and we're nothing anymore, if we ever were.  We -ignore- this (if we cannot block it from reception), as we see it coming and know that it means NOTHING.  Besides, we'll have our own propaganda to show as well, from the interviews.  But man.  Man!  If only I thought Cheerie was more often on radio broadcasts, I might be even more tempted to want that fancy advanced tracking system!

That tracking system can be used against us.
Now that we can not do mission 2 because we're lacking troops, it's either we steal that tracking device or upgrade the cruise ship and set up the TV apparatus there. Even though i think we should implement the training grounds in the near future, this is priority. The heroes must not find out our location. And if we stop broadcasting but Cheerie keeps doing so, maybe they'll find her lair and get some proper "cultural diversity debate" going. And by that i mean flogging.

MFW Psysquid hands us over an XXX magazine:
:( he probably used this already. Some pages are even sticking together! DO.NOT.WANT!
Is he carrying this sort of thing around with him? Damn, I wanted to be telekinectic so i could lift him off the ground, turn him upside-down and shake him just to see what falls down.

Edit: to clarify, +1 on upgrading the ship

The only mission we could conceivably want to do is mission number 2, which probably is the mission we should send Chemista on.

Still, I vote we upgrade the ship and mount the broadcasting tower there.

Oh, and I can't help but keep wondering about the technological level of the world we are in. To me it seems to be completely impossible to relate to anything in the real world, as the people have colour television, cameras, radios and dance-dance machines, but internal combustion engines are absent, as are computers. My guess is that this is the logical progression of a Victorian steampunk society, with all the engines and cameras and tellies and advanced materials (they kept Cerulean in plexiglass) being produced and operating via steam with small amounts of electricity thrown here and there, so most of the devices are big, clunky contraptions based heavily around vacuum tubes and cogs. Cybernetics appear to be nonexistent or at most larval, and the nuclear reactor is probably a stupidly gigantic and ludicrously dangerous experimental contraption.

Yeah, the steampunk setting disappeared a bit.

I'd say it's similar to DF's fantasy world, or the later Discworld Novels. It's not realistic, but the world is driven by a story. The Real world leaks in.

You know, I have a nagging feeling that all 3 of these missions we are being offered could help us deal with Cheerie.

Mission 1 and 2 are temptiiing... but we must upgrade the ship, in case of emergency.

Can we use the ship as a transport thing as well ? and the submarine ?

So yeah, +1 for upgrading the ship. I vote we move the radio controller to there as well.

Ignore Cheerie for now.

Of course, the rule of drama says that we will need to fight her, possibly necessarily ending with a big dramatic duel between both of us.

But do not taunt her. She may be just faking insanity to lure us into a trap, and as far as we've seen she is a complete sociopath merely trying to hide between a veneer of affability... so just keep her away.

Until we kill her, of course.

I'd think she's a competent sociopath.

Procuring a deadly bioweapon, and sneaking it into the postage system isn't that easy.

We're not 100% sure whoever sent that package was related to her.
