Advance Wars - Forum Game System - Contributors Needed

I'm gonna do it a little at a time. Here goes!

What is This?
It's forum game version of the regular game. No fog-of-war missions in this because it's too bloody hard. It'll be player versus player, with the four nations being represented by custom-made COs. There'll be three players on each team. I play as Black Hole and harass the other players randomly.

Gameplay
Each CO has an army, and each gains a fixed income every turn based upon the number of regions they own. You spend your income on troops which you add to your pool. When a nation's turn rolls around, their three COs each choose a hostile region to attack. The defending nation gets to choose which of their COs will handle each attack, then we run through each battle in turn. There may or may not be bases and cities depending on what goes down as I work this whole thing out.

Teams - Black Hole is played by me. I can't remember the names of all the COs off the top of my head so these lists are incomplete.

Please note the lack of transport units, like the lander and T-copter. These will factor more as resources than actual units, allowing COs to make war from multiple fronts. Sprites to be included.

Custom COs
Might come later. I'd probably just be doing easy stuff for passive bonuses and powers, like 10% damage for infantry and stuff.

To Do List
- Make/steal a world map
- Make/steal region maps
- Remake the Dual Strike and/or Black Hole Rising maps in Maptools
- Figure income for regions

Is this based just off the regular game? Is fog-of-war going to be implemented? If how, how will you hide troop movements from other players? Or will it be player-input-vs-computer(you)?

Yeah it's just going to be the regular game. No fog-of-war missions in this because too hard. It'll be player versus player, with the four nations being represented by custom-made COs. At first I was thinking a grand strategy version of the game, but screw that. Maptools FTW.

OP updated.

Can someone teach me how the Advance Wars combat system works so I don't have to do the research myself? I mean behind-the-scenes-numbers-wise so I can calculate damage and such. I already know how the actual bloody game works because I'm a huge fucking fan of it but if you're going to do this you might as well take it the whole nine yards and assume I know nothing.

The closest things I could find to a behind the scenes was this damage table and damage calculator.

Wow. That solves all my problems actually. Thanks. But it does mean we'd only be using canon COs. Custom COs will have to come once I learn a bit more.

OP Updated. Now I need a world map, and I need to remake the Dual Strike and/or Black Hole Rising maps in Maptools, and I need to figure income and such. Players will draw from pools of units during battles, but they still need to capture cities and crap to buy and build units. Might include a mission type where both sides just deploy units and throw down.

If I remember right, HQ's gave 7500 and cities/everything else gave 5000
