I'm in. Not quite sure whether I'm doing Pokemon In People Clothing or Pokemon Who Can't Actually Attack as a theme. I have a feeling the former will be a whole lot less obnoxious, but I'll try out both.

I may as well, if we won't be doing the tournaments from the previous thread.  I'm trying to decide between Team Kaiju or Team Pink, both of which I've wanted to make for a while.  Alternately, there's one more option I was thinking of, Team Pre-evo.

EDIT: Oh, or a fairy team.  That is, the legendaries that appear each generation with 100 base points in each stat - Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Shaymin (regular form), Manaphy, and Victini.  Only problem is Manaphy's an uber, though I suppose the weaker Phione could be substituted.

EDIT 2: I think I've decided on my team: Team Dance-off.  There are so many Dance moves in the game, it seems fitting to create an entire team devoted to them.

I'll make a Team Poltergeist or Team Undead. Either or.

Team Poltergeist: Prankster Pokemon or Pokemon known to play tricks, i.e Rotom, Haunter, Shuppet, Nuzleaf
Team Undead: Self-explanatory; Cofagrigus, Shedinja, Froslass

Culise: As far as I know Manaphy made it into ubers, because unlike the other fairy legendaries, it's a perfect addition to uber-rainteams. That's for two reasons: A) the ability hydrations makes it immune to status in the rain, and B) the boosting move tailglow, a very rare move that's just phenomenal.

I'd say since you don't play a drizzle team, hydration is unproblematic. Even if you use raindance, the bonus gained is not that big. I believe as long as you don't use tailglow (and instead use nasty plot or calm mind, the more common, weaker variants) there should be no issue with you using Manaphy.

I'll leave it to a vote though.

Well, I meant more along the line scapheap and I did, a list of the mons with an explanation, not just an explanation of the name of the theme...

Let's see, what do we have so far:

Scapheap: Team Myth
Akroma: Team Ragequit
Kansa: something rotom related?
Culise: Team Dance-off, possibly team fairy ?
Barbarossa: Team Pacifism and/or Team Human Clothes
IamanElfCollaborater: Team Undead

:/

we need more people

Come on Kashyyk, Furtuka, hop on in, else there might not be much to watch. Does anyone know where ICBM pilot, Person and Zomara0292 ran off to? What about Rolepgeek?

I hope they didn't get chased off by the arguments.  Regarding the teams, do you want us to post movepools, stat distributions, and the like?  Because the reason each Pokemon is on my team is because of its moveset, after all.

nah, only the mon and why it fits the theme, so if it's in the moves, well, the basic gist of it I guess, for comparison, see my team description

Hello.

We should make an actual league at some point though, that'd be cool. I'm already an Elite Four for the Retro League, after all.

Ice does well once you get more offensive, apparently. Considering switching out Walrein for Weavile.

I don't know what team theme I'll do.

OK, sounds golden.

Spoiler: Team Dance-Off (click to show/hide)

I will be taking the sideboard option.  It's a little sad, though; I'm missing precisely one move (Rain Dance), but I can't think of a way to make it fit in, especially since it cripples Fiery Dance.

do we even have enough players for an actual league?

we only have <10 players, and only 3ish of them have any experience with competetive play it seems. hardly the environment for optimised teams trying to climb a ladder system

also damn, for a team based on dancing, that's some mighty dangerous powerhouses there....*gulp*
