Step inside. Door's still gone, right? Check if windows are still unbolted and if the house hasn't changed in any obvious way.

The deadbolts on the door are still damaged. It's still hanging, but opens easily. You check a window in the living room, it's unlocked. (6) Looking suspiciously around a bit of the ground floor reveals no obvious changes.

Go in, go to the basemen to look around.

You head for the basement stairs. You find that the lightswitch on the stairs does nothing. (Idea 4) Didn't the Russian fix the fuse box in the kitchen before? You feel like you should know why it's not working again but can't quite remember.

Follow the russian inside. Be alert for anything suspicious

Harvey Jones walks directly to the basement stairs and looks down them. Boganski pokes around some of the ground floor rooms and you tag along. Nothing horrible happens. (3) You don't see any changes, or anything threatening.

Follow the russian inside. Be alert for anything suspicious
Me too. Get my deck of cards ready.

Cards in hand you go in with the others. (6) There doesn't seem to be anything overtly threatening. The basement lights seem to be disabled again. Harvey Jones is flipping the switch up and down.

Pull our map back out.

Sure, he's an expanded one showing the basement area since at least one of you has seen it in good light now.

Spoiler: House Map (click to show/hide)

Do what any real man would do. Hit the switch box to make it work.

You punch the switch (Attack 1, Luck 3..meh) that was a bit painful but didn't really hurt your hand.

Put my ear to the wall, listen for sounds

(2) You don't hear anything.

Search around the ground floor for a light source.

Spoiler: Boganski's status (click to show/hide)

(4) You find two candles.

Also you remember that Fortesque presumably still has your flashlight.

((Can the rest of you try to dig up your character sheets soon please? I might need to reference them. *cough* particularly your current San))

Ok, stealthily head up to the second floor.
Check to make sure the floorboards in the stairs won't break as I go.

Ok, stealthily head up to the second floor.
Check to make sure the floorboards in the stairs won't break as I go.

Spoiler: Character (click to show/hide)

You ascend the stairs to the second floor without difficulty. (Stealth 3) But it's an old house and proves impossible to do in complete silence...*Discontinuity*

(? 5) You are sitting down and looking at something in your hands. It's your deck of trick cards. Written across the top one is the word "LEAVE." In your other hand is a felt tip marker you use in some of your tricks. You look up and realize you're sitting on the iron bed frame that attacked you a few days ago. (San check) Also the walls are bleeding. (San check: Fail)

-3 Sanity

Go down, look around.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You head downstairs ((Did your character originally have a flashlight? I forget)) Boganski comes with you, he has a lit candle. (1) One of the boards shifts underfoot. You tumble down half the flight (Idea 1) What the...Ow..

-3 HP

Light a candle. Utilize for light, then head into the basement calmly.

You light one of the candles and head down to the basement with Harvey Jones. (5) You traverse the treacherous stairs without difficulty. Jones isn't so lucky and falls down the last few steps.

You have a very strange thought; it occurs to you that you might be able to cave in his skull with you sledgehammer before he gets up. For a moment you feel like you are about to do it. Then the feeling leaves you.

Put ear to the opposite wall, listen again

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

(4) You hear a few faint scratching sounds, and once a faint squeak. There may be rats In the walls.

Spoiler: GM Note (click to show/hide)
