Ashes, dry and hot, swirled around Mystica's feet as she blankly gazes at the remains of what used to be her only home, trying to comprehend it was suddenly all gone.  So completely and totally gone!  She shivered, not from being cold, but from remembering the crackling and blistering heat as she ran for her life from her burning sanctuary.  This was terrible... unacceptable... they needed to fix it!  Noticing one of the survivors turning to flee, she homed in on him, locking him within her glare.

"Where do you think you're off to?  As if you could really just waltz right out of our Brotherhood whenever you pleased!  That's shameful!  Come back!"

Breaking into a sprint that scatters embers around her bare and blistered feet, Mystica charges towards her target, planning to rather devilishly grab onto Roger and restrain him as much as possible.

If the glorious Brotherhood was to be rebuilt, it had to include as many people as possible working together, and no cowards!

((This will end completely and totally well, what are you talking about?))

"The Brotherhood's finished! Finished! Everyone's dead! I'm free! HAHAHAHAH! FINALLY!"

Roger noticed that she seemed to be following him... oh crap.

Addendum: Roger, there's a woman running after you! RUN FASTER AT ALL COSTS!

The Lamb's head sprung up at the sound of argument and talks of leaving. He starts grunting and growling, and leaps at the man trying to leave.

Jump at traitor. Threaten to bite him.

Kathryn wasn't interested in the antics of her surviving mates.

She wandered the dead garden, weeping miserably. All her friends were dead. Even Will the Bougainvillea. And her parents, too.

Action: Kathryn starts digging graves for her dead plants. And her parents.

The first turn should be up tomorrow at some point. I was really planning on having it done by now, but then I realized that I said there would be a map. With my complete lack of drawing skills, its quite a pain to actually draw one up. But I will persevere, and when I do finish the turn it will come with a really crappy map.

I found some online map generators for RPGs a while ago. There are ones that will spit out randomized towns, and others where you can drag and drop various building and landscape tiles.

Turn 1: We Got A Runner

"Erm... well..."
"Guess we're done here, then!"
Roger begins to slowly slink away from the mansion, but before he can get very far Mysitca starts yelling at him:
"Where do you think you're off to?  As if you could really just waltz right out of our Brotherhood whenever you pleased!  That's shameful!  Come back!"
"The Brotherhood's finished! Finished! Everyone's dead! I'm free! HAHAHAHAH! FINALLY!"
[1]v[4,5]  Roger starts to run away, but immediately trips when his foot falls in a hole covered in ash. He barley stands up in time to get his staff out to defend himself from the madmen closing in on him [1,2]v[1+1,2+1-1] In a double display of comic bungling, the ash from the burnt building appears to be extremely slippery, causing both Lamb and  Mysitca to fall over in the middle of their respective charges. Roger considers swinging his staff at them while they are vulnerable, but he doesn’t think trying to fight at least two crazies would turn out very well. At least they didn’t manage to grab him though.
As he starts to make another break for it, Jannys points her crossbow at him [4] ”No!, you are not going anywhere, we need to finish this”.

((Jannys acts first against Roger next turn if he decides to continue running))
[5] Mystica’s mood remains normal.

[5] Crying Kathryn digs through the ash of the mansion looking for her plants, for her parents. She grabs Will, but his formerly supple strength is gone, and at her touch simply falls apart. She remains steadfast though, and goes to search for her parents. After about fifteen minutes of digging with her bare hands finds the bleached skeleton of her father, identified by the amulet around his neck. Quivering she reaches out for him, and his bones crumble to dust upon her touch, apparently the spell that shielded their bodies from The Ritual ended upon death. She takes the amulet and pries it open, only to find the Kark’znag seed it holds just as dead as its bearer. She pockets the amulet as a memento. Of her mother there is no sign, no way to tell her apart from the dozens of other sad souls killed in the night.
[Gain Father’s Amulet]

[6] "I survived bitches!" Clair shouts as she climbs out of the rubble. . "Even in dust, I'm still better in looks.". None of the others seem to be paying attention to her, but no matter she doesn’t want the attention of these fools anyways. She looks around for a stick. She comes to a tree, but an attempt to pull an branch off a tree fails when the branch crumbles to dust. She figures that she may have better luck with getting some wood fragments out of the mansion since they were already dead when the ritual hit. Indeed, it only takes her about a minute to find a fragment of a plank from the house. She wrenches it halfway out, only to hear a disquieting groan from the house in protest. She quickly gets it the rest of the way free, with a shudder the wall next to her starts to break apart. She stops and looks at it for a moment, realizing that it seems to be falling in her direction.

Spoiler: Map (click to show/hide)

Everything on the side of the map (excluding the graveyard) is out of town. Going from out of town-> in town takes at least a whole turn. Going from an out of town location-> Another out of town location is non-trivial due to the lack of proper roads connecting them and the chance of getting lost.

"Um... well... no, really, but..."

He suddenly looks very alarmed at something right behind the trigger-happy woman.

"It's the police! Scram!"

Hope that distracts her. Even if it does not, start running towards an alley, make sure to keep myself a moving target or find cover on the way.
