You cower under the desk. He saw you run behind it so it's not a moment before he's caught hold of you and dragged you out from beneath it. [2] He kicks you in the face. Blood spills from the wide cut the blow leaves on your forehead. The distracting wound makes it difficult to see and forces you to wipe your eyes every few seconds.
You throw the crazed man off of you and scramble to your feet. You back away from him towards the elevator and yell for help. Your heart drops into your stomach as you look around and see that the normally crowded law firm is completely empty. The bomb disposal squad must have evacuated the building while you were waiting for them to arrive. You have no idea if anyone is left inside anymore.
The inspector pulls himself up and turns to you, his chest heaving and eyes filled with rage. He seems to have dropped his pistol, though you can't see where it may have fallen. Probably somewhere around his feet. You remember that you're still walking backward and you bump into the wall behind you. You see the elevator right next to you and mash the call button. After a few seconds you realise that it's dark, and it occurs to you that civil services probably cut power to the building once they were informed that there was a bomb threat. You glance over your shoulder and see the inspector still glaring at you. He growls throatily and you get the feeling that he isn't going to stop trying to kill you anytime soon.
