((man, I need to proof read my stuff))

Sarah ran up the stairs while looking over her shoulder. She anticipated him to follow her but it didn't seem that she was his target. She switched her attention to her destination and gasped at what she saw.
She stopped in her tracks, and placed a hand over her mouth and nose.

Please don't be Kevin.

she shook her head and took a step toward the body, hesitated, then closed the full distance to identify and check if the person was dead then examine the wounds to check for clues to the cause of death. When she found that it was someone she didn't recognize she decided to search the body for anything useful or a clue as to what was going on, made difficult by the fact that she was so scared she could barely get her hands to do what she wanted them to do, and that just scared her all the more.

In the back of her mind she was ready to bolt if she heard footsteps other than her own coming toward her.

"Ughh, yeah, that was the result of the first guy that tried to kill me.
Got pretty lucky, that time.
Thanks for the help, mate."
Get to my feet, walk over to guy who saved me.
