If need be, we can send him with our camera to blink across and bring us back pictures of anything we want to make a record of but cannot reach.

How fire-resistant a golem is related to what rock we are made of. for all we know, we could be made of a very-low melting point rock. also, if we were to get into the lava, we would lose our shirt and/or other equipment.

I also suggest we ask Wimpleaf if he has seen an infinity symbol where he came from. don't forget to check the walls for culturally important information!
