In other news, I would really like to do a game in this fashion in the MK universe-perhaps even a SPINOFF.

Minus all the cool art, of course.

An impasse is an oddly hostile/competitive way to think of a mini-hiatus.

I'll update when I update and no sooner. Same applies to everything I do. I don't forget about games if they aren't bumped. lol

I dunno, didn't mean it to be hostile <_<

And when I bump a game it's not to so much as to remind the GM his game exists, as to remind him I remember his game, and am still interested.

Just saying, I'm not bumping games I dislike or have lost interest in.

~Prologue Pt. 7~

"As Mowslyn said, we are THE SEEKERS, and today, WE SEEK JUSTICE! FINDER'S KEEEPERRRRS!"

Ash keeps up the pressure, directing a blizzard at the enemy with the Ice Badge!

[3][2]

As Ash continued shouting his selfish battle cry, ice crystals continued coalescing around the large blue ocean wart. Somewhere a little ways off on the shore, a small child said: "Daddy, look! A big icy treat!" The child's father would later go on to invent the concept of popsicles and make millions of coins.

The walrus thing smashed its head against the ice as it formed, preventing itself from a frosty fate. You know what they say, "fool me twice..."

"Hey, guys, we're supposed to be a team, right? Did anyone come up with a team name?"
Shaking his head, he refocuses on the enemy.
"You are putting people in this area in danger with your destruction. We will stop you!"
And with that he swings his face down at the enemy again.

[6][3*2!]

Holding that last vowel on "stop you," Roger retreated inward, meditating on his strike. Life is a game of Whack-a-mole. I am the hammer. My foe, the Monty Mole.

WHACK!

Before Roger was even aware what happened, his head hurt with the pain of five thousand question block headbutts, and the big blue beast had a visible bump on its head. With a pair of band-aids, even!

The mini-boss let out an anti-climactic

: "Blrbl."

and disappeared once again into the sea.

"Well, if you say so." At speeds faster than the eye can follow, Miic Guy swaps out his mask for one with an angry visage upon it. "GET SOME!" The now enraged Shy Guy screams as he sprints at the big ol' monster.

Full Body Tackle the monster!
Sir Bigglesworth's paladin senses tingle, alerting him to a most foul presence just down at the docks. He walks. He arrives. He gazes upon the beast.

"Forsooth! Back with thee from whence thou camest and so on! I shall not allow thee to lay hand on my team, for even if they are stinking and of indeterminate gender, they are my team forevermore!"

Charge in and headbutt the satanspawn in its gut.
((So much OOC clutter!))

"Eep!" Mowsalyn eep'd, as her body hit the water with ratmendous splash-which was to say, very small.

She began rat-paddling slowly to the dock. Of her skills, swimming wasn't her best...

Action: Paddle to dry land before I get eaten by a bubba or something.

Cutting their tackles and headbutts mid-charge, Mimic Guy and Sir Bigglesworth flopped onto what's left of the docks. Mowsalyn mousey-paddled to a nearby ladder and climbed back up to the Seekers. Roger, on the other side of the dock, eye the floor gap warily, unsure if he could make the jump back over without taking a dip.

"WOOOP-WOOOP!" The horn of a steamboat broke their nervous silence as a white, four-star mini-cruiser made its way over to the dock and set anchor. A Toad(?) with Cool Shades waved at them from the wheel.

: "Now what the heck happen here? You dudes the new guys? Uh... Seekers? Big mess, this."

Sir Bigglesworth seems to lack a rubric slot.

Mows began waggling her arms and feet and ears and tail, shaking herself dry. Ash was closest, and therefore most splashed.

"...There was a battle, I think! I fell into the water...but we won, right!

Um, FINGERS KEEPERS!"
She emphasized.

She did a rat-ly fist pump for emphasis.

Mimic Guy looked around around for a few moments, obviously still agitated, before he swapped masks again, returning to his impassive state from earlier. "Well, that's over."

The captain nodded toward Mowsalyn.

: "Ohhh. Yeh, sounds like you're off to a good start! I heard there was someone takin' up the Delfino mission. That you?"

He pulled out a piece of paper identical to the one with the job listing on it, looked at it, and looked back at them.

Mows nodded as well.

"Oh yes, we were booked passage to Isle Delfino. I think we're all quite ready to go. Feels like we've been here for weeks!" She said, immediately gently pushing everyone toward the ship, if they didn't go themselves. It was less of a push and more of a gentle nudging, of course.

Roger's face was turning numb.
"Heh. Finders keepers? New slogan?... Seems nice...."
A bit dazed, he followed where Mows pushed him.

((That was a couple turns of combat. Did any of us gain some mastery?))

((I think only you and monk qualified for combat xp, anyway. The way I reads it was that you actually had to take part in the battle somehow. It was over for the others and I fell off a bridge.))

"Oh, FINDers...that makes...much more sense..." Mows said quietly to herself.
