Two updates in a day! I am ON FIRE.
~Prologue Pt. 6~
"Wow, um...deal! Thank you, Mr. Cheep." Mowsalyn squeaked, blushing. She planted a kiss on the side of his bowl.
Action: Buy the Dagger! Then go help Roger fight the mini-boss!
Cheap-cheap blushed and sped into his plastic fishbowl castle with a "THUD."
As
Mowsalyn headed outside, she thought about her blade's origins - or its potential buyers. [4] She knew the Mushroom Kingdom had their own museum, and there were more in cities far outside the Mushroom border. Of course, she'd have to keep her new knife safe before getting it polished up.
A torrent of water spilled over the dock, stopping her cold. Roger was in the distance, trying to fight the mini-boss and doing his best to keep it off innocent bystanders. Oh no!
[2] Ratdrenaline pumping through her veins, Mowsalyn anger-charged straight off the platform toward the blue critter. She missed and instead hit a much larger blue creature! Very much larger indeed!
What I'm saying is, she fell into the water.
Wander outside. Fail to fail to notice enemy.
Mimic Guy walked outside and failed to fail to notice the giant blue enemy. His failure is simply off the charts today.
"One red bomb, Sir Bob-Omb! Verily, it shalt become useful."
Purchase. Exit. Bask in own glory.
Sir Bigglesworth purchased a Red Bomb and walked out, euphoric with righteous consumerism.
As he spotted the ongoing fight, a swift, well-dressed breeze twirled him around, shouting something about FINDER'S KEEPER'S.
Ash staggers in the direction of the brewing battle, waving her arms and using the Ice Badge!
Ash debated with himself. On one hand, there was an angry blue walrus face threatening to turn the entire kingdom into walrii or something. On the other, badges were
weird. Ashley'd not used Ice Crystals since freezing the overcoat guy, so she only knew one activation phrase! You always activated magic with Activation Phrases, right?? It was just like in the comic books.
Ash awkwardly stepped forward, the dock trembling between his two tiny feet. Townspeople gasped. Roger turned. Mowsalyn floated to the surface.
| "FINDER'S KEEPER'S!" |
[5][3]
Energy coursed through Ashley's wiry arm. Even hidden by the overcoat, she could see her chest light up, her arm's veins glow and, finally, the badge itself erupt in light. As if caught in a hailstorm, tiny ice crystals rapidly built around the blue bellower's base, stacking up, up, up until nothing but a frozen pillar remained.
Hey, badges weren't that hard to use after all!
"I was hoping to avoid this."
"But I am quite upset, and don't like being attacked!"
Roger lifts it's head, swings it back, and slams it down on the blue monster thing. He gets dangerously close in doing this...
Roger, seeing an opportunity to strike, leans back and hammers the frozen aggressor with his prickly headsphere. [1] Unfortunately, the force shatters Ash's ice trap, releasing the beast once again! At least they bought some time.

"BWAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUGH"Name: Mimic Guy
Race: Shy Guy
Rubric: None
Gender: Who knows, man?
Bio: Mimic Guy is a Shy Guy, who, unusually, carries several different masks with him(her? whatever), with varying expressions. He(She? It?) swaps them out depending on the situation, causing personality changes. Or maybe the masks are swapped because of the changes? It's hard to say. Mimic Guy's true objectives are shrouded in mystery, as depending on what mask is on when you ask, being questioned about it will lead to different answers.

Race: Pokey
Gender: Plant
Bio: If you grow up in a cave, and rely on photosynthesis, you're gonna have trouble. There's not much light in a cave. But there's this hole in the roof of the cave where it first sprouted. This is where its family lived.
It had the advantage of sprouting where the light shone all day, instead of being shadowed most of the time. It got greedy, and kept pushing its siblings away, back into the shade. When it rained, it claimed most of the rain, too.
It took it's name, Roger, when a human tromping through got accidentally spiked on it, and expired. It felt guilty, for once, and it's family took advantage of this, heaping on guilt until it could stand their company no more, and fled.
After a long time lost in the dark caves, it found the exit. Hungry from lack of light and water, it was desperate, and greedily shoved a goomba out of the sun. When this goomba protested, Roger realized that it was being mean again.
So burdened by guilt, it decided to start to be generous and giving instead. And what's more generous than saving people from danger? And that's what heroes do, so it decided to become a hero - the first pokey hero.

Name: Ash. Or more specifically, the top half is Ashley and the bottom half is Ashton.
Rubric: None
Race: Human
Gender: Yes
Bio: Ashley and Ashton are twin ten year olds from [insert reasonably grim Mario city here]. They never knew their parents, as they were abandoned at an orphanage as infants. The Ash twins were the only humans at the orphanage, and they never got along with any of the other children. Ashley possesses a lightning wit and an outgoing personality, while Ashton is quite strong and has a thorough, methodical approach to problem-solving. Together, they could easily think or fight their way out of any situation.

Bio: Mowsalyn (her nickname is Mow, Mowmow, Sally or Lyn as the mood strikes her) is barely noticeable from a distance-a diminutive rodentlike being with a round body-tawny sand colored hide, a long twitchy black tail that ends in question mark arch, her head topped with small and delicate round ears with a fuzzy grey interiors-and a pair of peeping, ocean blue eyes peering from behind a white bandanna that wraps around her upper body. She's also wearing the gear of an explorer, albeit in a small size-a tiny tan desert uniform and a halfsize fedora, a small shovel and a miniscule magnifying glass-all in very cute, mouser appropriate sizes. If you try to speak to her without warning, she will squeak and flee.

Name: Sir Bigglesworth the First
Race: Toad
Gender: Male
Bio: Sir Bigglesworth the First comes from a long line of honorable Toad paladins - or at least he intends to start one. He even has a loyal Yoshi steed! Then he dismounted it, because it was a stick yoshi and people were laughing at him. For, you see, the era of Toad Paladins is sadly long over, and this particular Toad is more than a bit delusional and has passed the prime of his years.
But fear not! Bigglesworth still does his best, standing tall against the ravages of time and doing good where he can. And despite his inability to use Flower Power, he wields his ancestral badge once owned by more practically minded toad ancestors, and protects the innocent with the blazing furor of the righteous.
