Question: does the Shy Guy's ability need 2 FP and the FP required for the mimicked ability?

Yes. If not for that respectable cost bump, they would basically have 4+ starting abilities instead of one.

So far, none of the characters is a "pure" tank. And by "pure" I mean someone who is a koopa and has 20+ HP.

Name: Kunthea Kolab
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Bio: Kunthea Kolab does not believe in limits. Kunthea's heard of old times where you didn't need badges to use magic. So when you combine that and the fact that she shows an affinity for magic, it becomes no wonder that she's on a quest to try and become a natural mage. It matters not that near everyone she knows has told her this is impossible and probably stupid. Humans are rare enough without them blowing themselves up like she does with her badge, her friends tell her. But she doesn't care. Because, dangit, it's a limit, and one she doesn't intend to tolerate. She wants to reach the heights of those long ago. She wants to go above the limits of the human body!

But she can't. Those around her told her she can't, too. And she couldn't take it. So she packed up and she left, taking only clothes, and badges. In all honesty, she's lost now. She doesn't know what or where she's doing or going. And now she finds herself on her way to the Hero Forge, the only chance she sees herself as having. She's not going to let what's possible or not stop her, she says! But it will.

Kunthea can have somewhat of an abrasive personality at times, despite her enthusiasm. The thing is, Kunthea simply won't take no for an answer, often endangering herself or others in the process. And woe betide you if you try to discourage her or keep her from doing something- Kunthea tends to react angrily, occasionally even violently, and has lost a few friends this way. And when things do truly prove to be impossible, Kunthea tends to break down.

HP: 5
FP: 15 (2 advancement, FP Up)
Strength: 1d6 (2 advancement)

Mastered badge: Fireball
Additional badge: FP Up

Appearance for RP Purposes:
Kunthea Kolab is a surprisingly pale-skinned human, tall, and thin, though surprisingly not so around the arms. She has a few scars in her arms and legs from busting them- from exploding herself in attempts at magic. Her hair is brown, and curls its way down just past her shoulders, with blue eyes that stare at the world in an angry determination. She typically wears short skirts or shorts, and short-sleeved shirts, of a dark blue or orange (in a few cases, both) color.

How does the HP Plus and FP Plus get mastery points? Getting hit and using FP skills?

They all get mastery points the same way (the way listed in their descriptions).

You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.

To all of you minmaxing mages: You need strength for your FP spell damage. If you keep it at 1s2, your spells will do 1d2.

Name: Ruby
Race: Human
Gender: Girl
Bio: Ruby is a true adventurer from a faraway land. She passionately believes in loot, strength, and utterly dominating one's rivals.

What she's less accustomed to is this land's peculiar sense of teamwork. Back home, adventurers would team up to tackle unusually strong threats, but otherwise every quest was a mad scramble to outdo your fellows at any cost. She considers it actually kind of nice here, but still very strange.

Ruby tends to be fairly cheerful, or at the very least doesn't seem to take setbacks too hard. Allies dying isn't something she's accustomed to, but otherwise she considers being foiled just another part of being an adventurer. This isn't to say she doesn't really, really want the things she pursues- she's about as motivated and passionate about acquiring shiny objects as one can get- just that she's used to going after things full-force and sometimes not getting them. Including, it might be noted, because someone else snatched it right from under her nose.

Other than adventuring, Ruby also enjoys the trappings of wealth and power- nice clothes, shiny jewelry, good food, and so on. Of course, none of that is nearly as satisfying when it hasn't been earned the hard way, and she enjoys comparing her spoils with those around her- although, she's trying to be nicer about that since those around her aren't trying to ruin her utterly and vice versa anymore.
