And Irony and I come up with very similar characters.  D'oh.

Well, in stats.  In personality, not really.

For all those playing humans and taking Badge Mastery: Shouldn't you have two badges from the known badges pool?

I thought that at first, but then I decided it meant you can HAVE two unmastered badges, not GET two.

Nope, it's rules-as-written. You don't start with two, you just get to equip/build two at the same time. There's lotsa ways to get badges.

Also I like how everyone's taking Looting eye. This is some serious wide-scale metagaming thing.

As TWoOtA shows, we here at B12 have a serious thing for loot.

Since I was right on the fence between it and HP plus, I think I'll switch it out.

...Hm, nah, I think I'll stick with extra FP, since my racial ability makes casting the skills of others... expensive. Perhaps later.

I take it this is the result of the FFSCC's efforts?

Oh, I see. Well, as it was a FFS game, I thought that there were going to be some drawings at some point.
Who said there wouldn't be?

Ruby says hi and strongly recommends accepting her into the game.

In essence, yes. This is the first truly "clean" game world I've built and run (no evil Power Stars/mysterious abominations/spacetime vortexes threatening to swallow up reality at a moment's notice).

Notice how it's also one of the first to have no true natural magic. Everything's depending on these badge things. Kinda makes you wonder where magic in the Freeformverse comes from.

And now I wish my character was dark enough to want to create/bring one of those into existence to feed on its power.

Does magic come from magic?

Name: Roger
Race: Pokey, please. Or see below if not.
Gender: Plant
Bio: If you grow up in a cave, and rely on photosynthesis, you're gonna have trouble. There's not much light in a cave. But there's this hole in the roof of the cave where it first sprouted. This is where its family lived.
It had the advantage of sprouting where the light shone all day, instead of being shadowed most of the time. It got greedy, and kept pushing its siblings away, back into the shade. When it rained, it claimed most of the rain, too.
It took it's name, Roger, when a human tromping through got accidentally spiked on it, and expired. It felt guilty, for once, and it's family took advantage of this, heaping on guilt until it could stand their company no more, and fled.
After a long time lost in the dark caves, it found the exit. Hungry from lack of light and water, it was desperate, and greedily shoved a goomba out of the sun. When this goomba protested, Roger realized that it was being mean again.
So burdened by guilt, it decided to start to be generous and giving instead. And what's more generous than saving people from danger? And that's what heroes do, so it decided to become a hero - the first pokey hero.

HP: 25 (20+)
FP: 0
Strength: 1d4

Mastered Badge: Thorny

Pokey: A segmented plant-creature made up of thorny spheres. Often seen wobbling around happily in the desert. Mastery choices:
