"As expected. Did anything else happen?"
"Something about sealing Not!Selina..."
"Not!Selina?"
"Pain handling alternate personality... amongst, various other, roles..."
"Then allow me to present a theory. The issue is not so much that Selina was enchanted as much as Selina was sealed. What if healing magic is not being negated, but instead tricked by her body and subconscious that her body was fine? What if Not!Selina handles harm as well as pain? If she gets sealed off and the body becomes incapable of recognizing harm... perhaps the healing magic may be tricked into thinking that she's fine... that would explain the pain when healing is applied... if pain and harm are disrupted... Strange, of course, but far more likely... it doesn't require an unknown party X to utilize massive amounts of magic for unknown purpose Y... by sealing off part of her mind, you may have sealed away part of her instinct... and part of her capacity to be healed..."

Selina looked quite afraid. Would they have to let the... other side of her out...?

Selina looked worried, their Not!Selina sounded 10 times worse than hers.

[Empiricist]

"She was magically healed. That is apparent. It has worked. Otherwise she'd be in no condition to undergo her previous levels of activity. She had surgery. The painkillers worked. Now they do not. Hence this occurred in the last two days. If the only perturbation past that point has been this sealing... than it is safe to entertain the idea that it is to blame."

"We've gone through this before.

Maria, get over here."
She approaches.
"Oh dear....Selina are you ok?!"

[Empiricist]

"She is either enchanted, or sealed. Likely the latter. You sealed away her pain sub-process, but she may be incapable of being healed as a result of no longer recognizing what pain acknowledges: harm."

"...no..." Selina says, sounding quite sad. Her other side was going to ruin everything...

"Th-th-then... wh-wh-why did the... th-th-the scar turn... bl-black...?" Selina is worried and curious.

"Wait, what?"
"She knows what pain means. I think her other personality is screwing with her.

....Selina. Do you think we can....beat your other personality into submission?"

[Empiricist]

"That is the other issue. That does not fit the only credible theory we have thus far. Hmm... I do have an idea... it may be painful though..."

[RangerCado]

"N-n-n-no..." Selina cringes as another wave of pain assualts her. she could never beat that other her.

"I betting that her other self sealed her from healing, hoping to come out when her main personality was downed, this time with no hope for anyone to get her back.

Trust me, Selina, I've FACED my other self before and won. You can do it. With help."

Selina shakes her head, having no confidence in herself.

"Would that be a possibility, Rick?"
"I'm not so sure... I wouldn't see why she would be so vindictive or need to be sealed in the first place... unless she's different..."
"This Not!Selina of yours, how does she act?"
