Sam growls and pushes to the front.

" Silence all of you!!!! One at a damned time or we're gonna be here all day and calm down. I have no intention of conscripting anybody without a damned good reason.

Now Overseer kindly explain why I need to turn more then 1/10 of my civilian population into soldiers and where the hell you expect me to get that many guns and sets of armor from. Even if I trained all 130 of them we only have 18 spare weapons and 12 sets of armor so unless we have a secret armory somewhere that you neglected to inform me about then that isn't gonna work. Is there a secret armory that you neglected to tell me about? "

Ask him.
If they keep shouting then fire a warning shot.

Michael seems to ready to offer his opinion to the fray, but with Sam's shouting he seems to have second thoughts and stays quiet.

What! Rachelle exclaimed, that was an excessive number of soldiers

Francis sighed, rubbing his head lightly.
"Ridiculous. As though this place wasn't already enough of a police state with Sammy's little brigade roamin' the halls all the time..."
He drifts off into thought, considering how much more work he'd need in order to keep his little bar a secret.

"That leads me to the second part of the announcement... All weapons are to be given over to security." If the first announcement wasn't enough, that command sure set the crowd over the edge. Yells of defiance rallied against both the overseers. Dram waited for the din to die down to continue.

"That should give you a few dozen weapons to work with. Overseer Bitter and I are seeing about... obtaining additional weapons and ammo." That reignited the crowd once more.

"What's going on? Is something out there coming to get us?!"

"There's nothing outside! Everything's dead!"

"You can't take my guns away!"

"I'm sorry, but Overseer Ritter has access to technology we don't. He says there are signs of life out there. He has expressed to me that the possibility of an assault on our vault is a distinct possibility. We must be prepared." he yells back to the crowd.

Sam sighs then smiles politely.

" Once this meeting ends we're going to talk overseers, I want answers. You've been hiding things from me and as the head of security I am demanding answers and your really in no position to argue. Who do you think they're going to support? Me if I refuse your orders and stand with them? Or you? Who's trying to take away there weapons.

Now be quiet and let me deal with this before you start a riot and I'm forced to shoot you to calm them down and please believe me when I say I have no problems with shooting you for causing this.


Sam then turns to the people.

" Keep your weapons and go about your business, I will see whats going on personally and then we will deal with this but I have no intention of taking away your guns, now please calm down and go back to your daily routines. You all know me, some of you may not like me but I have always done my duty fairly and properly. Trust me.
Guards please escort the people out and go back to your duties as normal I'll gather you later to discuss this, return the kit to the armory after cleaning it and making sure if it's in working order. "

Calm and disperse the crowd then have my chat with the overseers.


Sam then sends a look at the scientist, a look that says very clearly he knows what he's using those chemicals for and that he's not the first one to have that idea.

A twinge of annoyance sparked in the overseers face, but he kept his calm demeanour together.

"Captain, you forget yourself. I speak for your overseer. He demands that everyone fully understand the situation before the lots are pulled. We will talk personally after all questions are asked. Everyone stay where you are." The room quiets down markedly from before, the people sensing the tension between the two men.

" I've never met that overseer and he hasn't bothered to speak with me, the head of security who he expects to carry out those orders. If I'm going to do this I want answers. How is he going to get more weapons? Why do we need more security personnel? Why are we training for war?

Be careful overseer, your just a puppet spouting orders from another man and these people don't like those orders. Make them angry and I won't risk the lives of my guards protecting 1 man. You can be replaced. "

[3+1+3=7] "You have followed your orders before, and you will do it again. He is your overseer, you are supposed to trust his judgement. Or will I need to inform him that you are no longer able to perform your duties as security captain?" he says, unusually stern. He's tense, you can tell he doesn't like this news any more than you do.

" I doubt that'd go very well for you, removing me while I'm arguing on behalf of the population? How long do you think you can hold off 1000 pissed off people?

We can gather them again later, I need to speak with the overseer first and find out whats going on and so do you before this begins a riot. We have never had a riot in this vaults history and I will not allow a fool who's never set foot in here to cause one now.

I can do my job but I refuse to follow this order without being told why it's so important, now shall we get answers? Or are we going to have to see which one of us the people will choose to follow right now?. "

Attempt to sway him again, if he refuses then bang him on the head with my baton to knock him out.

Rachelle was stunned, she had always respected the captain (allowing her to keep her pistol helped there) but she had never realy liked him, until now.

Edit: adding, "I am with him, and I'm one of the best technicians we have here, I dare you to say otherwise, and i dare you to try to keep this place runnin without me!" Rachelle draws her laser pistol. "And if it comes to a firefight, the lot of you also know how good I am with this, don't listen to those damn overseers, either of em, they don't know what it's like to work, and they tell us what to do and how to do it, to them we are numbers, not people!"

Clair look between the lines being draw. On one side, the overseers. The rules are with them, but not the people and Ramsey Florent has never seem right. The other was Sam, no last name which was strange, Clair made a note to find out why, the people were behind him and for all his problems, he was dependable.

If a riot happen, fight on Sam's side.

[Fniff]

"Listen, let's not get into a riot over this!"
Don't join the fighting, but attempt to heal anyone who's injured during the fighting.

The Guard will arrest the mad man throwing bombs and throw him in jail, if he tries to run they shoot him.
