the only interations that dont have a - are the catpeople talking to each other or me and Glloyd having a chat with the only engineer A BUG that freaks out catpeople

we have a bunch of people, including some of the guards, who only have 3/4 hp, the bug person has no other bug people to hivenind with making his advantage useless, and normal Humans, IE not your changed up traits, are xenophobic, OH YEA we ALSO have a machine man, those are always a good idea!

Race: A slimy glob that can form into any creature's shape, or any shape for that matter
`-Traits: Physical Weapons pass through it. (-6 to melee rolls against it) Weakness to freezing and boiling (+1 to cold weapons, heat weapons [Used against it])
Slightly lower HP. Gets bonuses from assumed forms. It communicates in a garbly tone, hard to understand (-1 to conversation rolls). It can combine with other blobs to become larger. It can fit through small spaces, and can explode to escape danger. The goo will just form back together...

HP: 80
Profession: Engineer
Wage: 6
Money: 300 credits (He loses his money alot)
Items: Quantum Goo multiplier, Wrench and repair kit, small gun that fires compressed electricity.

Please can this goo-creature be added? I'd really like it. If not, I'll repost as an insectoid probably.

a -6 to melee sounds like extreme OP. Maybe a -1, or -2 if the GM is feeling generous.

Melee weapons are actually ineffective, because it just slices through the goo and then it reforms. Fine. Swords and only hard steel weapons will do no damage, but swords with like electricity in them, or lightsabers, or swords made of snowflakes will only get the bonueses.

The point isn't in the logic of it, it's in the balance of it.
A single overpowered character will ruin the game for everyone else, unless it's handled right, and a lot of the time, that OP player will try to use any excuse they can to let them get away with it, despite the fact that they become the only person having any fun.
But that's just my experience.

The problem with such a surefire ability is that it either becomes way overpowered, or very situational and useless.

((Example, fire extinguishers placed in every room, ensuring enemies always have a weapon that will hurt you, easy fireprevention system*))

* goo is a liquid, and will flashvaporize.

Well I would assume that we aren't going to encounter too many melee weapons tbh, I mean the most basic weapon seems to be a laser pistol which would probably produce heat damage that the blob would be weak against.

Way I see it: Immune to damage that we probably won't encounter much, Weak to damage that there will be lots of= UNDERpowered
I mean if the GM plans on having a bunch of space samurai then its prob OP :P

If I insult your character IC dont take it personally I will be roleplaying someone who hates Insectoid's
