I personally love the option to make my dwarves omnivores and without any kind of ethic. I mean, why not use all those gobbos and kobolds lying around on my map? Serious waste of perfectly good meat!

I make dragons fly and playable.

I remove fishermen from the dwarfs.  No immigrant fishers ever.

I made a gigantic supersoldier named Alana who can fly and is basically invincible. It is fun to punch things off buildings.

I gave mountain and dark gnomes an upgrade so they're between kobold and dwarf in size, live in their own cave-dwelling entities and in the case of dark gnomes, kidnap children and besiege your fortresses. With knives and blowguns.

I give all dwarves beards. <-- Favourite
I give dwarves access to all weapons.
I remove room-envy from nobles.
I remove mandates from nobles.
I stop cats from adopting.
I delete all animal men.

I remove the brains from cats ever so often when there's a catsplosion.
Sometimes it results in tantrum spirals, but who cares?

One time i was the victim of a pretty bad goblin siege but i didn't want to lose my Fort, so i turned the goblins into kittens.

Back in 31.xx, enabling bone and wood daggers to be made, partially by accident but I enjoyed it

That one time a guy modded elves to be used as pack animals like horses or sheep for his dwarves, and also accidentally modded his elves to explode upon entering the embark square, resulting in an attempted embark spontaneously nuking his dwarves as soon as he unpaused.

Can't find the source but it was funny to read about.

Making it so that humans could throw fireballs. Made for fun, if short adventurer careers. I want to try it with dwarves when I get bored with my current fortress.

I also made a Bat Man adventurer, which was pretty fun. Especially when some crossbowmen destroyed my wings, upper spine and heart in one turn, causing me to fall and break my head open.

Give dragons wings, let them fly, change their display color to red, and give them a longer neck.  _{^{(The idea of a fart propelled dragon amuses me though, give them a gas bladder in their lower body that they need to fly.  Bonus points if instead of breathing fire they use that to produce a cloud of nausea inducing gas "breath")}}

Give kobolds tails.  They just seem more cuddly that way.

Female dorfs get beards.
