"I suppose so. Either way, it is indeed nice to see Miss Kikiuchi brighten up."
"Ah..."
"So everything was nice and rosy until that point?"
"Where did the boy I draw the two circles on go?"

[Vgray]

"More or less."

[Empiricist]

"Wow. Talk about a peripeteia..."

[Vgray]

"Before the Horde came the last real recorded conflict must be...the war of the three hammers. That was 230 years ago. Dwarves live long enough that some old ones might remember."

[Empiricist]

"What's with the strange name? Don't tell me that the only weapons used in it were three fucking hammers."

[Vgray]

"Allow me to explain. There are three clans of Dwarves who used be united under some king I forget the name of. There was a succession crisis, and two of the clans were kicked out of Ironforge."

[Empiricist]

"So a three-way civil war? Sounds sort of like what was going down in Agaea until recently."

[Vgray]

"Dwarven politics are...very interesting now. The daughter of king Magni Bronzebeard married the ruler of the Dark Iron dwarves. Nasty fellows, as the name would imply. Magni was convinced she was under a spell, and sent a bunch of adventurers to free her. She refused to come home. The Bronzebeards are the ones who won the civil war by the way."

[Empiricist]

"Did they just name their factions after random metals and the first three things they saw at the time?"

[Vgray]

"These are the people who were made of dirt at one point you know. The clan I haven't mentioned is called the Wildhammer clan. They live higher up than their cousins, and ride flying creatures called Gryphons. Anyway, with the 'death' of king Magni Moira Bronzebeard stands to inherit two kingdoms."

[Empiricist]

"At least those Wildhammers don't have a metal in their name."

[Vgray]

"Did I mention that the king of Stormwind almost killed her because she had Ironforge on lockdown and his son was there at the time? Varian Wrynn has a nasty temper. Ironforge is now ruled by the council of three hammers, with one representative from each clan. It's been working, so far."

[Empiricist]

"At least there's an odd number. 'd hate so see what would happen if there were only two clans. Or four."

[Vgray]

"Yeah. Tasrak ever tell you he lives in a house next to the High Seat? I don't know how he ever managed it...
