"Surprisingly low. Maybe Dwarven stubbornness has something to do with it?"

"I'd thank you again, but you're probably tired of hearing that by now." Silica smiles and begins drinking the milk.

"Excuse my ignorance, but, how does one become born into a family? I was under the perhaps gravely mistaken impression that children manifest from relevant summoning installations and are placed within a family optionally by bilateral consent..."

"I think earplugs or translators would be more useful for dealing with prose... How stubborn are we talking?"

"Put it this way. Dwarves can be as immovable as the mountain they live in."

"Why would anyone live in a mountain? Wouldn't they get vitamin-D deficiency? Or are they stubborn to the point their body just rejects that notion?"

MOAR MEANWHILE

But how do I deal with the problem of aggression? Those who don't understand almost always revert to violence. Perhaps a weak copy of the Xavrax Quotix...

"Just because you have a mountain as your capital doesn't mean you don't go outside. We Gnomes lived underground before our city was overrun by foul creatures called Trogs. We had to go live with the Dwarves after that. The Dwarves were once creatures called Earthen actually. Literally made of dirt. We Gnomes were basically sentient robots at one point. We gained flesh via the meddling of gods."

"That certainly explain a lot about those racial predispositions considering those origins..." For a brief moment, a rather gruesome mental image pops into Florencio's mind, namely that of a guignol as a humanoid creature. He gently shakes it out of his mind.

Silica goes of somewhere enclosed and private to change into her newly purchased (and significantly more modern) clothes. She doesn't seem any less insulated if the scarf is anything to go by, presumably to offset the chills of her anemia.

"Ah. The original inhabitants of Azeroth, who we call the Old Gods, didn't like our creators the Titans. Don't ask me what the point of this 'Curse of Flesh' was though."

"That's supposed to be a curse? I can see how it does have its impacts, but really, if people really do leave artifacts of death and other fuckery lying around, it sort of pales in comparison. ...Oh, did I say pale? I meant to say bleaches. With a lot of bleach."

Flesh is less durable than stone. Sickness, pain, death - all these are of flesh but not rock. The Titans evidently saw it as a just punishment.

Does the meanwhile ever stop?

Interesting, it would appear this plane connects the kalpas together...
