"Well, I'm an alchemist and unless you need to be high to perform that spell, I have no idea either why you'd need specific mushrooms."

"Consuming the mushrooms in question would be fatal if not for the pinch of soil added. That's about as much as I know about them."

[Empiricist]

"...Well, that's rather risky isn't it? Are all major spells like that?"

[Vgray]

"Not usually. Not anything the Kirin Tor cast anyway. Unobserved unrestricted use of illegal magic is usually dangerous. Due to the wording, you could say the ritual went exactly as the Earthen intended it.

[Empiricist]

"So what effect did they think it would have?"

[Vgray]

"Personally, I think Magni turning to diamond was the exact affect the Earthen wanted. For what reason, only they could tell you. The explorers league were sure the meaning was not literal though."

[Empiricist]

"That is an incredibly useless spell then. What purpose would it ever serve?"

[Vgray]

"My thinking, is that it has a different affect on a being already made of stone or dirt."

[Empiricist]

"Well, if they are animated lumps of substances like that, perhaps it turns into diamond but they can still move and whatnot?"

[Vgray]

"That was my thinking. The ritual was preformed in the heart of the mountain Ironforge is carved into, in a cavern covered with diamonds. Magni is the only dwarf shaped one though."

[Empiricist]

"Is he still alive, just unable to do anything? Or did he die?"

[Xantalos]
