"Giant walking talking bovines basically. Much more levelheaded and peaceful than their size suggests."

"When I think of cows, my mind doesn't exactly start giving off images of them committing acts of violent aggression you know."

"True. When the orcs first came to Kalimdor they helped the Tauren fend off an attack by centaurs. They owe a debt to the orcs."

[Empiricist]

"AH so that's why they're in the horde..."

[Vgray]

"The Darkspear Tribe they saved from their sinking island on the way to Kalimdor, the Blood Elves and the Forsaken has nowhere else to go.

I should mention the later two are on the same continent as the bulk of the Alliance."

[Empiricist]

"They managed to hold their ground for that long? That's quite impressive."

[Vgray]

"I think numbers has something to do with it. Basically, the humans and Dwarves get the southern end of the continent. The Forsaken and the Blood Elves get the northern end. That's not counting neutral or contested territory. Similarly, the Night Elves occupy a large part of Northern Kalimdor."

[Empiricist]

"SO how do conflicts in your world play out anyway?"

[Vgray]

"I suppose it depends. While we're talking about conflict, now it a good time to mention the most contested zones. The first is Warsong gulch, which is on the border between the Barrens and the forest of Ashenvale. Night Elves don't like people cutting down trees you see, and exactly who owns the gulch is violently contested."

[Empiricist]

"So what happens here then?"

[Vgray]

"For the most part, both sides rush across the gulch and meet half way."

[Empiricist]

"That's it? No air support? No sabotage? Just charge at each other guns blazing, swords swinging?"

[Vgray]

"For the most part. These skirmishes are mostly fought with magic and blade, not machines."

[Empiricist]

"Normally for such skirmishes in my world, it involves small squads and high mobility combat. Often with FOBS usage and occasionally air support and vehicle use. In such circumstances, vampires or succubi are deployed in hidden positions to harass units as well."
