The airships stop firing at each other and wobble around slightly.

"Exactly. Goblins are an important part of the economy."

"But you're not the only part."

"Admittedly, most of our business is with the Horde, even now."

"Did it work?" Silica asks hopefully.
"Well, for starters, the Horde definitely needs a better PR department. 'The Alliance' already sounds rather bland but at least it doesn't have negative connotations like 'The Horde'. That doesn't exactly sound very inviting or trustworthy."
"I was worried it may be too awkward, plus I do need to charge my weapon sometime."

[Vgray]

The Goblin shrugs.

"The name is something the Orcs are proud of now. You see that zeppelin up there? The first design was nothing but a tiny basket designed for scouting."

[Empiricist]

"How armored is the balloon?"

[Vgray]

"If you mean armor as in metal, I think it's exposed up there. The balloon is fairly resistant though.

[HissinhWalnuts]

Aluminum would be a nice hull material, wouldn't be that hard to get with new technologies.

[Empiricist]

"How about the rotors of that VTOL? Do either of them have any features to let them descend safely if those parts break?"
"Indeed it is. Presuming that you layer it well with titanium."

[Vgray]

"That's a Gnomish contraption so I wouldn't know anything about. As for the zeppelin, our designs tend to be what the Gnomes would call 'simple'. We call it practical."

"Let me translate that for you. What he really means is cheap."

"So what about safety features? Those balloons are filled with helium, right?"

[Vgray]

"Correct. And uh...I set aside some extra space for parachutes if that counts."

[Empiricist]

"Wait, you were the guy who designed those?"

[HissinhWalnuts]

Good thing its helium, wouldn't do for another Hindenburg.

[Vgray]

"Not really. It is the family business though."

[Empiricist]

"Ah no wonder you knew so much. What do you think they're doing right now? They've stopped shooting at each other..."

The Airships land just outside of cannon range of each other. The crews examine the substance that is suddenly on their hulls.

"I'd love to captain a commercial version of that thing. Think of the profits I could make..."
